Great over all experience! Lots of food with plenty of left overs..Brittany our waitress was awesome and brought out our... daughters food first knowing she was super hungry ????. Also the orange slice added is amazing because places don't usually addfruit..of course our daughter ate that first.. Husband got the fried flounder po boy (sandwich was huge). I got the crispychicken sandwich (juicy and tender) both with honey mustard side salads ????. My first time here and I would go back. We went to Bingo but decided to have a meal before. We started with Lemon and Peach... Martinis and whew, mine was too strong and not sweet enough (I like sweet drinks) but my friend LOVED THEM! I The star of theshow was by FAR the Tuna Dip! It was smokey, not to chunky with the right amount of creaminess and seasoning. Those Houseseasoned saltines that comes with them are THE BOMB! The homemade side of pico and jalapeño was the perfect last touch itneeded, I just wanted more. It was gone too fast lol It's the best I've had in a long time and I get tuna dip everywhere. Icould've eaten 3 of these and skipped the entree. I didn't like the fish sitting inside beans, we expected it to be separate.I'm a bit picky and don't like my food to touch, the rest of the food just wasn't seasoned enough. It wasn't horrible but someseasoning would elevate their dishes. I believe rethinking the presentation would help as well. We've already talked about goingback, it's certainly worth a re-do! So my husband and I ate here Saturday night. First time customers but we will return. The wait time wasn't too bad since we... waited at the bar. The food was phenomenal!! The portion size was more than what I expected. I had the shrimp and cheddar grits,my husband had the jambalaya with red beans and rice. Everything was so good and our waitress was so nice!!! Wow. So starts out by being greeted by the attached picture of the 6% inflation tax. Gets better with the rude hostess saying... ?I?ll seat you when I?m ready? after waiting for our reservation. Great way to start off a group seating. Then told twodifferent servers with 4 families making it even more difficult to handle checks. Let?s get to the meal. Appetizers were hushpuppies and their ?famous? tuna dip. Not sure why it?s famous to be honest. Quite ordinary. Cant taste any smoke flavor. Iordered fried shrimp and grouper. Shrimp was edible grouper was not. Very salty. Fries were soggy. Was really hoping this wouldbe some place worthy of a return trip but that will not happen especially with this additional fees? This is our second visit to Dee's Hangout. I believe they have expanded their dining area since our last visit. The atmosphere... is relaxed and staff pleasant. Menu includes seafood, cajun cooking, steaks, and my family's favorite She Crab Soup plus awhole lot more. If you are inclined to have a drink with your meal, I tried "The Painkiller" and they are generous with thealcohol. The prices are a little steep but the serving size is enough for 2 meals. I got the Grilled Grouper with coleslaw,sweet potato fries, and hushpuppies. I took half home for lunch tomorrow. My husband got fish tacos and the soup as mentionedearlier. I did not visit the rest room but the rest of the place was very clean and well kept. They have a lot of memorabiliafrom the old Miracle Strip Park which was nice to see. Had a wonderful time here with my girlfriend. Was told 45 minute wait and it was only about 35 which is always good. We had the... steak tacos and the lemon butter shrimp and both were out of this world !! Ten out of ten would recommend! Read more
