Hidden gem! Probably the best meal we had on vacation. We both had the broiled seafood platter. Amazing! Huge portion of crab... legs, gulf shrimp, red royal shrimp (which tasted like like a cross between shrimp and lobtser) sausage, corn and potatoes. Even came with bread and salad. Was delicious! Very highly recommended! Fresh Gulf oysters, huge royal reds, tasty roasted Brussels sprouts, and crab cake. Every dish was... perfect, especially the crab cake, superb; meaty, flavorful, full with crab, not filler. This was our second visit to Mike?s andwe?ll definitely return. Mike?s is unpretentious and proud of its reputation as a straightforward seafood place. Popular withlocals; next to us a table of 10, over there a family of 6, children ages maybe 6 months - 6 years; everyone seems happy andsatisfied, including us. They do not take reservations here so be prepared to wait at least an hour. My boys had to return their po boy shrimp sandwiches... because it did not taste good at all. The baked oysters are HOT i burnt the roof of my mouth so be careful. The fried samplerplatter wasn?t bad and the seafood broil was ok. We walked across the street from where we were staying to eat at Mike's. Another place that is worth the wait too! However, i... highly recommend you go sooner rather than later. They open at 3:00, go early as you can because you will wait later in theevening. We waited outside for 2 hours!! My favorite the raw oysters on halfshell. We were party of 5 and everything wasyum-yum. We had great food and friendly service. I went back two more times. We sat at the bar and enjoyed Oysters Rockefeller &Oysters on half shell. I'm here in Panama City Florida for the weekend. We googled seafood restaurants near us, and this is one of the ones that's came... up. I can tell this restaurant has been in business for years just from the decor and the ambiance inside. The owner interactswith the customers, he even brought out entrees to our table. The waitress who's name is Jamie was very friendly and upbeat.She kept our beverages refilled and constantly checked on us. Thus restaurant definitely gets a five star rating from me. Yall..... I have NEVER eaten at a place like this!! The atmosphere is inviting, the decor is amazing, the staff r the... sweetest(especially our waitress Jamie Thomas), and the food is out of this world!! We had the seafood gumbo, fried gator,Mike's fried platter, seafood pizza, and cheese pizza! As u can see our babies got a special treat from the waitress for drawingher pretty pictures! Every time she came by she made sure to stop and speak to our children and to us that made it more special!U don't find that often anymore! Mr. Mike himself even came out and asked all of the diners(walked table to table) if everythingwas ok and if they were enjoying themselves!
