It was decent. The food was pretty good. I really liked the one in McKenzie. There were only a couple tables that night and... sometimes it's hard to really put out when it's that slow. I'm going to try it again on a busy night and may upgrade the rating. Read more

VARIED MENU? Traveling through Paris, we stopped at the Old West Steakhouse. Food was good and plentiful. I had the beef tips... with grilled vegetables. Service was swift and the menu featured fish, chicken, pasta and of course beef. Prices werereasonable. The meal begins with dinner rolls and honey butter. The only blip for me was that my salad appeared to be salted.Unless, you like this you might ask them to hold the NaCl. Read more

Country buffet with a country theme. We stopped while passing through town because of the salad bar. It wasn't what I expected.... Decent, but not what I had pictured in my mind. Limited veggies, no carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, olives... but you can getbeets. My salad consisted of lettuce, cheese, croutons and dressing. The hot food section - my husband liked it, but it wasn'tfor me. No labels, so you had to guess what things were. From what we could tell there was: chicken and dumplins, corn, beans,mashed potatoes with gravy, Sunday roast, BBQ pork tenderloin, fried chicken and catfish, a taco casserole dish, rolls, cabbage,green beans, greens, peas, and a few dessert options. This is a nice place with plenty of room for people to enjoy a night out with friends and family. The staff members are all very... kind, the service was great and the food was very tasty. Let me just say that if you are looking for a tender steak (spicysirloin) I highly recommend this place. The rolls are perfectly brown on the top and fluffy inside. My daughter took myself, my wife, my son and his friend to Old West Steak house. We went around 4pm. We had called and was told... it was a seafood buffet along with the steak window. The shrimp was over cooked. You could barley peel it. They did have somefried shrimp that was okay. They had mussels and fried catfish that was over cooked And baked salmon. No steak or beef period,unless you call meatloaf that. This was the extent of their ?SEAFOOD BUFFET ? they charged $20. I told waitress that I left aplate full of shrimp not because I was being wasteful. It was because it wasn?t edible. She did offer to have some cooked forme, but by this time I was so disappointed I was just ready to leave. I have always enjoyed the one in McKenzie. But this onehas disappointed twice. I will never step foot in there again. Seafood buffet what a joke. I will go to the Chinese Buffet nexttime. Theirs is only $14 and they have a wide range of actual Seafood and it?s fresh and not overcooked. When you have 2 16 yearold boys complain about the food not being good. Boys that will eat almost anything. You know there?s a problem. My sons friendI have seen him demolish some fried chicken before and he told me. This is the worst fried chicken I have ever eaten. I nevergive reviews but we spent $125 in there with the tip. And I really can?t explain how disappointed we were. Especially since Ihad bragged up this place to my daughter. She?s from ALA.
