I originally went through the drive-thru, I ordered a vegetarian burrito and a regular grilled chicken burrito off the two for... six menu. About a third into her burrito, my colleague realized there was chicken on the veggie burrito. We turned around for areplacement. I had to go into the store because the drive-thru line was very long. There were several customers in front of meand while waiting I was watching the employees in the back. The person preparing the Mills, a woman, was doing an excellent job?I was actually really impressed with her portions and her area being as clean as it was for a prep area! Unfortunately, whilewaiting for my corrected order, I watched the young man at the front pick up french fries from the counter and eat them. Thesefrench fries were sitting on the counter next to his register. I assume he scoops the fries before handing them off tocustomers. He was the young man in the window that day. At no point did this young man wash his hands, put on gloves, or wipedown the remaining crumbs after eating the fallen fries. He continued to walk around the back, touching counters, sliding hishands around on the tables and the register area, after he had just been putting fries in his mouth. I didn't originally planon saying something, but he made a comment joking about me losing my appetite over the meat in the burrito. Which honestlywasn't a joke, in my opinion. It was just rude. I told him, I had lost my appetite while watching him eat fries off the counter.And that when handling food he should wash his hands. He initially tried to denied the incident but I gave him further detailsabout what he had been eating and where I saw him doing it and he quickly apologized. This Del Taco is superior. Always fresh and they always get my complicated (vegan) order right and they know me by my order by... now and greet me by name! Everyone working is great, but my family adores the sweet kind young man Anthony who is always just adelight to see at the window. Please bring back the black beans guys! So, I saw a commercial for the chicken tacos, guac'd up, and I was curious if it was any good.. Long story short: it was... okay. Short story long: I decided to pull into del taco, and try the food. There was no one in front of me in the drive-thru,and it seems as if I was the only customer at the time. The employee that greeted me at the drive-thru was not very friendly,and it sounded as if they didn't want to be at work... I express what I wanted, and that was all I heard back. I then asked if Igo to the drive-thru to pay, and I was told yes. It took a few moments, before I was giving my food, but I was excited to tryit out. Just picked up these "chicken" tacos. Last time I checked, they came with sauce, tomato AND lettuce to go with the chicken. FIVE... tacos with NOTHING on them. Everything else we ordered, came with lettuce and tomato. AND sauce. Read more
this was my first time at a Del Taco. This location is great. Everyone is friendly, and the place is clean. As for the Del Taco... brand, I found the food to be bland. It is nice to know that many of their ingredients are freshly made, but a little extraseasoning would make a huge difference. The little sauce packets were good. The fries were great. Read more
