Best Mexican in Park Rapids! Not much 'legitimate' Mexican food on the menu, but they are a product of their surroundings. ... Probably closer to Tex-Mex (fajitas, nachos, chimichangas,etc) than Mexican but I suspect it's based upon customerdemands. Friendly staff and excellent service in a clean setting rounds out the experience though. Read more

We used to love Vallartas, but the last 2 times we went we were sat at a table and completely forgotten about. The last time we... went, a man took our drink order and said someone else would bring us chips and salsa. We waited 20 minutes while every tablearound us (all got there after us) ordered and began getting their food. When my husband stood up to ask a server how long itwould be she went around him without saying a word. He went to the front to ask and the guy just stared at him, then walkedaway. It wasn't just poor service, it was weird, like we were in a twilight zone episode in which we were suddenly invisible.We're done trying, it's a waste of time. Read more
The food is good but the ambiance was soured by two servers screaming at each other in Spanish. I'm Mexican and understood the... whole conversation. One server was screaming about another server stealing their tables and it made the experience a littleuncomfortable. I talked to one of the servers who happened to be our server and they were really nice but it's just veryunprofessional to have that sort of argument in front of all the customers. I'm sure other customer understood it was anargument without understanding the words being said. Read more
The guy who sat us was very nice , the food was good and came out fast. But when we asked for soft shell tacos and 2 of us told... the girl soft and then she asked soft to make sure I said yes and she came back with hard we said we asked for soft she arguedwith me saying no you said hard very rudely and since we been seated and got our food we have had to ask for refills and forthings no one has came to check if we needed anything. But I can't believe how rude the girl was about the tacos and I will notcome back. Read more
Vallartas was a decent restaurant experience in the middle of Park Rapids next to the Armory. I got the Fajitas which were bland... for a Mexican restaurant. My wife had the Chimichanga and it was delicious - the cheese sauce really made it. We did not likethey charged $1.75 for a second round of chips with salsa. But, no need since the food portions are large. Good service and theatmosphere was excellent. Read more
Update: This restaurant continues to amaze me with the great, fresh food everyday. Our favorite lunch spot. Very good Mexican... American food in Park Rapids. Big menu with lots of combinations. Try their top shelf margaritas. Fast take out for lunch. Read more
This was my first time going there. I was astonished at everything. The food was amazing. The waiter and crew were extremely... eager to make my visit the very best. Highly recommend trying it yourself if you appreciate great Mexican food. ???? Read more
