Fantastic inviting rustic cabin feel and great for a family meal in Park Rapids. It?s the kind of place where you feel the... history. Your Grandparents and your Parents would be weekly regulars if it was in your town. This is our second time in PR andthought we?d give the Y a try, and very glad we did, and a little sad we didn?t try it our first trip here. Super Friendlystaff. The restaurant is absolutely spotless from the dining room to the bathrooms, which is always a good sign. Drinks: Theymake a damn good Hendricks Martini, and the Cosmopolitan & Manhattan they served were right on target. App: We did the onionrings and they were tasty. Good snap and crunch, and the dipping sauce complimented the rings well. They were a little on thebrown side, but still good. House salad: Crisp fresh lettuce and same with veggies and a fantastic decorative radish. The extramile was not lost there. The Dinner: We?re from Kansas City so we know a thing or two about steaks & BBQ. The steak temps werespot on, and the seasoning was right in line to support the flavor of the meat, not cover it up. I had the bone in strip, mywife had the ribeye, my mother in law had the BBQ ribs and my Father in law had the fried walleye and it was high marks allaround. If there is any criticism (and I?m seeing this all over the country as I travel extensively for work) the fries havethis light dusted/coating to it that takes away from what a French fry is. That crispy snap of salt and potato fresh out of thefryer gets lost with the coated fries. Yes.. I ate many of them, but it was a let down if what it could have been. Way over prices basic food and drinks. $7 for some strawberry lemonade and bicardi limon garnished with a strawberry and... lemon...the special Atlantic salmon for $23.. was blah. Very basic baked potato blah Caesar salad $28 basic walleye. Honestly Icould have made better tasting meals at home and for a lot cheaper.. waste of $$$$. Read more

Y steak house gets 5 ?? from us! We went for the first time yesterday and we were pleasantly surprised! Staff is so friendly and... helpful! We discussed their GLUTEN FREE MENU and you won?t be disappointed, they make their menu from scratch! I had the?special ? prime rib, I was expecting the ?special ? prime rib as well. To my delight, it?s honestly the best prime rib I?veever had! Oh my gosh! The food presentation is delightful! I?ve honestly never been to a restaurant in park rapids that takesthe effort to present food in a wonderful way! I?m serious! Go here!
