This place is a Mike Drop ????delicious! The seafood crepe was creamy, abundant with seafood, the Salmon neprune was perfectly... made Salmon and scallops with shrimp in a delicious sauce. The house made brownie was fluffy and decadent! Highly recommend!! Read more
Chameleons is perhaps a good name as you may not even notice this restaurant tucked away in Parksville as you drive the old... Island Highway; however, do your best to find it as your tastebuds and stomach will thank you. Chameleons is fully focused onthe menu and not any overt theme or falsely created ambiance; but, that is a very good thing. The food is simply delicious andthe value is great. The seafood crepe is decadent and the braised short rib was tender beyond compare. Don't even get mestarted on the Sticky Date Cake (sticky toffee pudding)...wow! Also, an Empress Gin Martini for $10? Value and quality are overthe top. If you want the best food in Parksville/Qualicum, then look no further than Chameleons...even if they blend into thebackground. Read more
oh my goodness this place was amazing! would give it ten stars if i could! the service was excellent and the staff are so... friendly. leanne, our server, was so lovely. the crab bisque was loaded with crab - as described. flavourful, crab-by tastingand not too salty. the shnitzel was perfectly cooked and the gravy was very tasty - traditional and executed well. came withspaetzel that tasted like it was freshly made. the vegetables were perfectly seasoned and cooked perfectly. the seafood crepewas DELICIOUS! i didn?t know what to expect and was glad i ordered it. it was loaded with seafood and tasted so flavourful andfresh. it was baked with the perfectly crisp crepe with cheese on top. sadly we had no room for dessert. at the end of themeal, they gave delicious chocolate mints with the bill. would definitely come back here if i?m back on the island! Very cute restaurant tucked away under a residential (?) building. Easily accessible?right off Highway 19A, and has a handful... parking spots right out front. Food was tasty with decent price and good portions. Especially loved the crab dib (served with ahuge stack of hot naan bread). Braised Beef Short Ribs was tender and savoury, and so is the Pork Back Ribs. Both of the mainscame with veggies and sides, where you get to choose between mash potatoes, roast potatoes or herb brown rice. Would love toreturn again to dine in next time! Read more
