Not a traditional restaurant, basically a storefront, so with that being said, the takeout is delicious and I highly recommend.... Store hours are limited because the owner does a lot of catering during the week at local businesses. I can?t speak for theauthenticity but I discovered them 4 or 5 years ago (at a catered event) and have been buying their takeout from the storesince. This is my favorite Indian spot in the Cleveland area. Prices are higher but you get several servings from one containerand the taste is amazing and worth it! The chicken chettinad and pepper chicken are my favorite, delish and spicy! Can?t gowrong with the biryani either. Read more

The food is pre-made and cold. The prices online are not accurate and they charge a fee to use plastic. But the worst part was... the quantity of bone in the food. It tastes fine as long as you don't break your teeth. I would not recommend this place toanyone ever. Read more

Chennai Delicacy is an unassuming small, but great take out Indian restaurant. They also prepare dishes for banquets and parties... and cater at some local companies. They have a steady clientele of Indian customers so food must be very authentic. Vish, theowner is very personable and he uses the best and freshest ingredients. Their samosas are not to be missed, though u need tomake or buy the tamarind sauce for it. My personal favorite entree is the butter chicken - tender and delicious and my husbandloves their chicken biryani - quite spicy, moist and flavorful. Any other Indian restaurant we go to he tries the chickenbiryani to see if it?s as good as Chennai, but they are still by far the best in town! Read more

Fantastic customer service and deliciously authentic South Indian food. The price may be a little bit high for the quantity of... food but do not skip out on this delicacy. Their goat pepper fry is some of the best I have ever had. This is because they gettheir goat fresh and cut themselves. Read more

I love this place. The gentleman who runs the restaurant is pleasant, kind, and serves delicious food. Know what to expect: ... This is not a standard sit down restaurant. You purchase your meal to-go and heat it up at home, often cooking your own rice. The prices are right and the food has never disappointed me. I recommend setting aside some time for your first trip to getaccustomed to how different it is from your average restaurant take out. I found Chennai Delicacy when searching for localIndian Cuisine on the internet. I had driven past it countless times never knowing it was there next to China Chef on thecorner of Pearl and York. I did not know what to ask for or what to expect when I first tried their food. The gentleman gavebrilliant suggestions to my friend who had never eaten Indian food before. Now she's always asking for me to bring some with mewhen I visit. He also instructed me on how to quickly and correctly heat up the meal and serve it at home once he knew this wasall new for me. If you treat Chennai Delicacy at face value for what it is and not grade it based on what you normally expectfrom your standard food services, you may love it as much as I do. I don't really care that the sign is hard to read. I'm notlooking for someone to serve me my food. I like to take my food home and enjoy it with friends and family, adding my own touchto the meal. I just want awesome flavor, and that's what I get every time. Read more

This is definitely a hole in the wall location and not a place I would go for fine dining. That being said, their food is... amazing! I cannot say how authentic it is since I am not Indian, but I do enjoy the cuisine immensely and this is the place Ikeep coming back to. Their biryanis and samosas are the best in the city by far. All of the dishes have plenty of flavor andjust enough heat to make it enjoyable. Their menu is constantly changing, so just stop by sometime and see what they haveavailable. Although they will heat up the food for you, it is primarily take out (cold). I usually stop by on Saturday or Sundayand pick up a couple of dishes for lunch/dinner during the week. Everything comes in easy to microwave containers and the pricesreflect the fact that it is take out. Most dishes are 9-12 dollars and samosas are only a buck a piece. Highly recommend it! Read more

This is definitely authentic South Indian cuisine and in my opinion the rice dishes are very high in quality. We got it fresh... and hot, and the roti was excellent. I have eaten at several eateries across the states and this restaurant definitely standsout. Read more
