Never come here on a Friday from 5:30 onwards for any reason unless you enjoy waiting for upwards of one hour to be seated.... Other bars/grills are nearby that can accommodate you much faster including Buffalo Wild Wings, Longhorn Steakhouse, OutbackSteakhouse etc. I don?t blame the staff at all: I?m sure they?re incredibly overwhelmed with all of these young kids who?veturned this place into a hangout, but this place is no longer for the working person who wants to enjoy a few cold ones and somedinner with coworkers. I will not be returning simply because there are other options who can supply my group with alcohol andappetizers/wings/burgers etc. a lot quicker and more efficiently than this place can. Also: This is not an isolated incident.This happens every Friday (I have gone three Fridays in the span of two months from times as late as 11:30 and it still wouldhave been a forty minute wait). Save your time and go two minutes up or down Rt. 46 for a much faster and more relaxeddining/drinking experience. Read more
My husband and I decided to stop in and enjoy a comfort food dinner together after a long day. We were promptly seated at a... table in the bar upon entry, and wait staff greeted us after only a few minutes of looking at menus. Our drinks & appetizer wereserved very quickly, which was nice. That is where the pros end. My meal (4 cheese Mac n cheese with honey pepper chickentenders)... It was doused with cilantro-so much so that it was all I could taste, and there was no way to scrape it off. After afew bites, I called our waiter over and explained, asking for a replacement. As I didn't want my husband to wait for me and eatcold food, I told him to go ahead and continue with his meal, thinking my replacement wouldn't take long as the restaurantwasn't very busy. After about 25 minutes of waiting and my husband having long finished his meal, my meal came out, (served by ashift leader or manager?) who didn't bring a fork or apologize. She did say she had a replacement bread stick coming out for meas well, but after waiting several minutes for a fork and another 15 minutes for a hot breadstick, I'd lost my appetitecompletely. $70 for the worst meal I have ever experienced at any Applebee's was ridiculous. The pasta was undercooked but Ifelt it would be rude to speak up again. If I weren't afraid to offend anyone, I would have left it on the table after takingonly a few bites- but instead took some with me in the box that was brought to our table along with my meal. Side note-theshrimp in my husband's steak and parmesan shrimp meal tasted microwaved and Luke warm from the start. We are from New Englandand have had wonderful experiences at other establishments in this area. This was a Horrible experience, a waste of our time andmoney. The Manager, Rachel was extremely accommodating for a wedding rehearsal dinner for our party of 10. Our waiter, Marcellus was a... fantastic server & Rhonda the hostess was very friendly & welcoming! Good prices for happy hour which starts daily after 10. Service was good with nice food and good drinks/beer selection. 1/2... price appetizer list got shrunk down from the last trip here but the ones we really wanted were still on the menu Door wereclosed at 12:30 on Friday though to prevent last minute seatings Read more
IT WAS A SAD EVENING at Applebee's. TWO PART [Positives & Negatives] REVIEW: (1) NEGATIVES - (a) The first four out of 6 things... we wanted to Order were Not available. (b) Bourbon Chicken on the skillet was dry. (c) The grilled chicken on the platter wasalso dry (d) The double crunch Shrimp was not crunchy at all. It was soft & rubbery, as if the had been frozen then microwaved.(e) The Gingerale tasted like diet seltzer water. It was exchanged for an Orange soda that had something floating in it thatactually looked like a tadpole swimming around.(not kidding) (2) POSITIVES - (a) The flaming cheetos boneless wing appetizergets a 6 out of 10. (b) The Strawberry lemonade got a 7 out of 10. (c) Joe [Joseph B.] Our Server, while busy, was veryfriendly, pleasant, and apologetic for the NEGATIVES. He also spoke highly of his Peers, as he somehow expected the NEGATIVESin this review were his fault, so he didn't want that to reflect on the other Servers. Truth is, Joe did his best. I'm goingto give this location the benefit of the doubt, and say ... it probably was an off day for this particular restaurant. If we'rein the area again, we'll likely give them a second chance. It's Superbowl Sunday and we expected it to be busy, especially with their insane promo (order $40 and get 40 free boneless... wings), however, i got the food 30 minutes later than they stated it would be ready. We ordered it for curbside pickup, but Ihad to go in to pick it up along with 15 other people lined up. No one from Applebee's ever came out to greet us or let us knowwhat the situation was. Food was good though. We got 2 steak dinners with fries and mashed potatoes (or mashed soup....couldn'ttell the difference with the consistency) shrimp and the wings. Read more
This is the 2nd time me and the wife visit this location after visiting Giants Stadium. And its great. Customer service is... fantastic. Food comes out super fast. We weren't even done with the appetizers and the main dish was out. Normally this wouldbother us but we were in a rush so it worked out. We will continue to come here when we are in the area.
