Flavourful food, not too spicy or blunt. We ordered catering for for a small group. The portions are decent size and food tasted... better even after few hours. Would definitely recommend. Read more

One of the finest South Indian/Chettinad cuisine in NJ. Went there to dine in on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered Vanjaram fish... varuval, Thanjavur Eral(shrimp) Thokku and Malabar parotta. Everything tasted so fresh and amazing! Meat was fresh, spice levelsapt and portions were perfect. Vanjaram fish varuval - Hands down the best I?ve ever had at any Indian restaurant in the US.Fish was marinated to perfection and tasted very fresh. Masala on the fish was finger licking good! The dish was garnished withlemons, onion and cilantro. It tasted so good, it took me to my childhood memories home:) Thanjavur eral Thokku - Again, prepared with super fresh ingredients with spice levels that are perfect to my taste buds. It had a nice chettinad gravy flavorwith those dried red chilies. It was garnished with Cilantro and curry leaves and served with white rice. The curry tasted greatwith Parotta and rice! Malabar parotta - Another perfection. It was layered and crispy. I?ve seen a lot of restaurants thatserve heated frozen parottas. Not here. It was prepared fresh, beaten to get the layers loose and had the authentic taste. Theservice was prompt and the people were friendly too. Overall I had a great meal! This place is going to the top of my favoritesand I?m certainly coming back! Read more

we got a dosa and it was okay. there wasn't that much filling or spread out evenly. the top portion of the dosa was good and... crispy but the bottom was soggy even though we started eating right after it was served. it was surprising that the dosa wasn'thot since there weren't that many customers there. would have thought it would be fresh and warm. we also wished there was moresauce. it was odd that one of the slots was empty.... overall we made do with what we were given. the server didn't really checkon us or check if we were okay. we also got a biriyani. we asked for goat but they didn't have that and didn't tell us until awhile after so we settled on chicken. I'm used to the meat being shredded but this was just a drumstick and a small chunk ofchicken in the middle of the bowl. the rice was tasty though and it was a bit spicy. it wasn't mentioned it would be spicythough anyone who can't tolerate spice would not be able to eat this but we both enjoy spice so we were fine for the most part.it was served with yogurt and some broth? the server didn't identify what he brought and was nowhere to be found afterwards forus to ask. we had to wait a while before we were able to get the check. the positive thing was that it's 10% off for cash.honestly was expecting more from this place since it's in Parsippany and there's an Indian population here but was disappointed.will need to venture to Edison next time for a dosa fix next time. the food wasn't bad but it wasn't something that would makeme want to come again. A gem of a eatery (eat in and take out) serving mouthwatering absolutely authentic Chettinad Karaikodi food for the... discerning!!! Who would have thought that in a sleepy Parsippany strip mall there was an actual Karaikodi chef making dishesthat rival those in Karaikodi India?? Their thali (veg and non-veg) is the bargain of the century, with some 9 different dishesserved around white rice and chappati and papad. Always order the Lassi to cut the edge of the heat, and dont forget a greatMadras coffee served in an actual golden Madras tumbler and Dabara. The Kozhi vepudu was amazing as was the Pomfret fry, thepaneer dishes and obviously the chicken chettinad. They also make autgentic Ambur goat biriyani and Thalapkattu chickenbiriyani. In conclusion, I am stunned that such quality food is still available in such a humble location. However, seeing thenumber of Indians that come by its reputation is assured among those that know and crave this particular cuisine. This isdestined to become a must -eat place if my taste buds do not lie, and I look forward to driving all the way from across statesto eat here again. And kudos to Kumar, the manager, for managing this excellent establishment.. Read more
