What a gem! Carrara's is an Italian dessert shop that also specializes in gelato and coffee/tea. There's a parking structure in... the back, and the first 90 mins are free. Ambience was nice, and I loved their black and gold themed decor. Will definitely beinviting the girls to meet here and catch up over sweets. Here's what we ordered: An iced latte, a yogurt strawberry cake, anda trilogia cake. The yogurt strawberry (4/5) was so fluffy and airy. I loved that it had the right amount of sweetness (notoverly sweet), and with a good hint of acidity from the yogurt. It reminded me of Japanese sponge cakes. As for the trilogia(5/5), it's more of a chocolate texture than a cake. It's made with 3 different kinds of chocolate (dark, milk, and whitechocolate with Bavarian cream) you def can taste the quality. Very delicate! Bonus points, it's gluten free. So good! Theonly/biggest complaint would be the coffee (3/5). I'm not sure if it was the almond milk or what, the coffee tasted a bitwatered down to me. But it's not gonna stop me from coming back. I enjoyed the cakes. Wished they included the savory disheslike their Moorpark location so I could try those as well. I recommend this place! Read more

I love this place! The cakes are so beautiful and they make such pretty gifts. My favorite is the strawberry and yogurt cake.... It's to dieeee for. I love that they have mini versions of their big cakes because I can't finish a whole cake for myself. Ialso really enjoyed the Italian sodas there. I've gone about 3x now to buy desserts for birthday friends. They always love thecakes. The inside is also cool and comfortable. I see little old ladies convening outside with coffee and small desserts. It'sreally adorable! Read more

This place is a hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle of Colorado Boulevard. The gelato, pastries, and espresso are all... high quality. The dining area is spacious and pleasantly ambient. It's a must try! Read more

I never knew about this place, but we're so glad we found it. In general, I don't love American sweets; the flavors are so... overwhelming. This place has much more subtle flavors that don't make me sick (huge bonus!), and everything we tried wasdelicious. It's a few blocks away from Colorado Av, but I think it's worth it. Read more

This place is outstanding! Came here looking for a last minute Easter treat idea for my mom and this place did not disappoint. I... was looking for something fruity with my mom's two favorite being peach and mango. To my surprise they actually have a PeachMango mousse cake so that made things easy. I was helped by a friendly employee behind the counter that was very helpful andpackaged everything up nicely. Then I asked about how much time the cake could be out of refrigeration since I had to take theGold line train home. She informed me the mousse cakes are frozen and should be thawed about 2 hours before slicing. That waspretty much the perfect situation for myself. Got a cake combined with moms two favorites and the cake survived the sunnycommute home. Flavor wise, the cake was delicious. The mousse was flavorful and not loaded with sugar, the glaze was not toothick and didn't take away from the rest of the flavors. They sell cakes and also small individual pastries and coffee. Theirbiggest cake will run about $39 and their smallest was $24 I believe. I will definitely be returning. Read more

Wonderful, quaint cafe in a quiet area of the Pasadena downtown area. Delicious gelato, cakes and coffees. We tried the Carrara... gelato - delicious Hazelnut goodiness and the pastries tasted equally amazing. Staff was very friendly and patient, definitelyrecommended if you are in the area and craving something sweet to round out your day. Read more

Gorgeous cakes, but I couldn't help but be disappointed with our selections. Of all the bakeries I've been to in LA, this is the... least likely I'd return to, but I do hope that some of the other options were much better. Croccantino (beige, long one): Onlymy last bite had any of the crunchy hazelnut layer. Without it, the rest was just textureless and mostly flavorless. 2/5 Golosa(white): The inside tastes like strawberry, not raspberry. Either way, seems way too sugared down, the flavor was very tame. Theflavorless white exterior also had a weird texture. 2/5 Velina (chocolate): Very rich chocolate flavor. Not much hazelnutflavor. Very little crunch in the middle. Still good, just not what was expected. 4/5 Strawberry cheesecake: Not the best inthe world, but pretty well up there. 4/5 Read more
