My partner and I celebrated our anniversary at Perle for the 2nd year in a row. Our first experience there was exceptional; best... tasting menu we’d ever had. Alas, our second visit exceeded the first. The front of house service is incredible, top tobottom. We felt welcome and cared for. The food was divine. No other way to say it. Wine pairings, brilliant. Odin was afantastic server. Read more

This is a chic restaurant that has a limited a la carte menu. It does feature a corresponding page of vegetarian offerings as... well as a three course prix fix menu. Service is excellent and unhurried. Our server is quite knowledgeable. The steak tartareis pretty standard. The escargot was herby and buttery delicious. The steak frites was cooked medium rare as requested. Mybranzino was moist with crispy skin and paired well with the ratatouille. The truffle pasta was disappointing; we can’tappreciate the truffle as it got overpowered by the cream. The nice apple tart tatin was a nice finish. The West comes Eastcocktail is a must try. A really delicious French bistro in the heart of old town Pasadena. Last night, Sunday, was my first time having dinner here and... if I’m back in the area it would be a place I would return to. Service was a bit slow however. We arrived at 5:55 for a 6PMreservation. We weren’t sat until 6:08 but ordered immediately because we were looking at the menu while waiting. Theappetizers did not arrive until just after 6:40 and we were a table of two starting with a soup and a salad. That being said ourserver Harrison did a great job and was not a part of the slow down at all. The interior is really well done and I especiallylike how partitions are dividing each of the tables for sound dampering. I started off with the Frisée Lyonnaise which waslight and tasty and a great start to the meal. For my entrée I chose the Alaskan Sole, which was buttery sweet and cookedperfectly. I especially liked the beurre blanc with it. We also ordered French Onion Soup for the table and that too was awinner. Overall a really nice French bistro. It is a bit expensive in comparison to others around Los Angeles and we did have akitchen slowdown in the beginning, but I would still recommend and plan to dine here again sometime in the future. I chose this restaurant for Valentine's Day. I originally ordered Valentine's Day set menu, but seeing that there are too few... dishes at other tables, we changed to order what we want ???? The ???? in the pot is a little oily, and the shell is stuffedwith bread to absorb oil. The steak is a bit ugly, but it is super tender. The fries are very thin and very special. Peoplepassing by say they are very cute haha ?????????? The two-piece of vegetables look not good on the plate, I didn't know thatthey were delicious ( why not put more??)and the fish was also very good! Be sure to eat Buree! ! ???? I heard that itschocolate soufflé is very good but I didn't get it ???? Although it is recommended by Michelin, I feel so-so It's not too badtoeat, but it's not very amazing, but you can try it~ Read more

A great dining experience, Service was amazing, It is great to be at a place that people enjoy working & polite. Service is... done right, Thank you management for paying attention to this. Food was very good, your classics French onion soup , escargotis a must Something as simple as bread & butter also stands out , You will see when you are having it. OK I have to complainabout one thing, The fries just didn't match the rest of the food's quality. regardless cant wait to come back Read more

Out door seating felt safe with all the staff wearing masks. The ambiance is nice as their outdoor area is set up under trees... and decorations, with heating lamps. The staff were attentive, courteous and nice, but not invasive. We ordered three coursemenu. Every dish was thoughtful prepared and presented. We had endives salad, well dressed and balance of sweet from applesand creaminess from the blue cheese was a good way to start the meal. Main dishes were duck and branzino, neither of them wereheavy, perfectly seasoned and sauced with delicious accompaniments. What closed the deal were the desserts. We had one ofsticky toffee pudding and Paris breast. The sticky toffee pudding was not overly sweet and the accent sauce of passion fruitand cream were such good match with the pudding. The Paris breast filled with hazel nut cream, it was so light and fluffy, creamy, again not too sweet, beautiful presented. If we lived near we would make this our regular restaurant to go. Next timeI'm in town I would like to try their a la carte menu, the french onion soup smelled amazing. Read more
