The food here is fantastic. It’s consistently delicious every time I come. However, it takes very very long. I came in and... ordered one sandwich and it took an hour and 20 minutes. When I arrived, I was the only person in the restaurant. I figure theymust have lots of online orders or something because even though there was only two people working, this seemed excessivelylong. When they finally brought me my order, it was the wrong sandwich, but I didn’t want to wait again, so I just acceptedit. That was the last time I came, and this time, I was told it would be 15 minutes, but I have been sitting here for 50minutes, so the service time seems fairly consistent. I think the staff is probably great, there just isn’t enough of them. Itmight also help if they limit online orders. Again, the food is superb, but even if you order in advance, it will take at least50 minutes out of your day before you get to eat. Read more

Come here for their cakes which are usually 10/10 but recently came and was disappointed. Raised the price $0.50 which I... didn’t mind because it’s worth it. But I could tell the cakes were old or the ingredients used were old. The Chico berry, myfavorite, has crunchy balls in the cake which adds a great texture. But they were soft and soggy, which I know is not normalbecause I’ve gotten it multiple times. That component alone makes the cake not worth $8.50. Other parts were still good. Read more

My wife buys me cakes from here they are not you average cakes! Super creative. Not to sweet, but definitely pleasing to the... pallet! Each one of the cakes has a unique flavor profile. My favorite was the Raspberry. Least favorite was the sesamechocolate. The matcha cake is very matcha forward, so if you love matcha I'd reccomend. It was a little too strong for my taste. The mango may be the sweetest of the cakes that I've tried, but it still pales in comparison to the swweness of your storebought cakes. The packaging is super creative, and the cake decoration is phenomenal! Totally recommend. Read more

I came here without reading all the reviews about them being slow (my fault), so it took me by surprise when I had to wait 30... minutes to get 2 sandwiches. To be fair, the taste ain’t bad (the toast tasted a bit stale tho), just not worth the wait. Iread in other reviews that their reason for being slow is that everything is “freshly made”, but tbh with the limited menuand on a not at all busy day, there is probably something wrong in the process if it takes 30 mins to make an egg saladsandwich. To sum it up, this place is AMAZING! We found it while randomly scrolling through Instagram, and it looked interesting. Fast... forward to the food, and it is amazing! It looked good and tasted even better! My friends and I had three different dishes, sowe tried out a wide range of their menu. The cakes are amazing, the point where I didn't want to eat it because it looked sogood. And finally I think I have become a fan of Honey Lavender Latte. Overall reasonably priced (I definitely can understand ifit seems pricey from some people's point), clean, AMAZING FOOD, not too crowded (at least when we went) and very friendly staff.Highly recommend as a go-to spot when visiting LA. Parking in pasadena is difficult as always (at the shop). We took it to arlington garden to eat afterwards... short drive to the... park but free parking and plenty of seats with shade. No weird bugs attacked us while eating. Afterwards, we drove down to lowerarroyo park (free parking) for an adventurous hike under the freeway bridge. Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - guaca-mango sandwich feltbuttery from the guacamole and the mango made it refreshing with the sweetness and slight tartness. Would definitely recommend!Okonomiyaki sandwich was savory and always enjoy the bonito flakes. It’s one sandwich sliced into three but the presentationwas amazing. The matcha yuzu cake was great and really loved that it wasn’t too sweet. The two gold flakes were interestingbut almost… plastic like when eating Ambience: 5/5 - novelty shop with really cute packaging and presentation ideas Service:4/5 - greeted immediately and the cashier was pleasant. Told it would be about 5 minute wait but was closer to 15 Value forprice: 3/5 - can understand the cake price around $7 -$8 with the container but the sandwiches were a bit pricey at $10 - $13 Read more

Beautiful cakes! Their pastries are feast for the eyes and mouth! Creamy, flavorful and very light ( so you can eat more... cakes). Earl grey cake. Just a touch of the tea flavors and still able to taste all the other ingredients. Perfectbalance. Sunny side up, it does a trick to your sense. It looks like an egg but it packed with all mango sweetness. A very funcake indeed. I totally agreed with their slogan, life is too short, eat dessert first. I can have their pastries for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Read more
