The Mango salad was very sad for how expensive it was. A Liquid spoonful of mango, three tiny slices of mango, and less than 5... mini slices of chicken. The salad barley came up hallways on the container in total. A waste of money. Read more

It's a Rubio's, there didn't seem to be many people working lunch shift but regardless of the line they dished out food... quickly. My only complaint is there were specials of the week or month on the menu but ingredient lists were no where to befound for guests so my group didn't order any of it . Read more

It's was my first time going to Rubio's. It just across the street from the pasadena civic center where I'm working. I ordered a... shirmp burrito and a chicken burrito for my co-worker. My experience with the shirmp burrito wasn't to bad but not good at all.I felt the shirmp was undercooked, and it only had 8 small shirmps. Maybe I was expecting too much. The rice had not good flavorand the burrito was only a whole lot of rice and black beans with spur cream and some guacamole. I was hungry and eat half ofit. But it wasn't good. Maybe the chicken burrito was better. Read more

I ordered my food online and I don't know if there was a glitch in the online system or if they decided to take all the toppings... off, but I open the bag and it's literally just rice, beans and shrimp. Nothing else! I go back to the counter and tell them theorder is incorrect. They put just a sprinkle of each missing topping. I kid you not the bowl was SO tiny! I love Rubio's andit's never been this small. I overlook the sprinkle of toppings only to find a HAIR in my black beans!!! GROSS! I let thedaytime manager know in the most polite way possible, "Hey, I found a hair in my food." She responds, "That's not a hair." I amjust shocked. It's literally a hair drenched in black bean residue. I respond "It definitely looks like a hair to me." Shefinally says "Okay. I'll get you another order." So unprofessional. This Rubio's location needs to get their stuff together. What a hot mess! I DO NOT recommend coming here! UPDATE: I wrote that review while waiting for my food to be remade after thehair incident. After waiting 20 minutes, I asked for an update on the food. The same manager said "Oh I didn't put an order in.You were supposed to bring me your food and then I would put it in." I told her she never told me that. I had already thrownaway the previous order. She just looked at me i was dumb and it was too late. At this point i just wanted a refund. I hadwasted my lunch break and after an hour I left Rubio's hungry because I had to go back to work. The manager was unapologeticand this was truly a pitiful experience. Read more

We love good Fresh-Mexican food and, as vegetarians, especially love to try new places offering that fare. Enter Rubio?s in the... Paseo Colorado open-air mall near Old Town Pasadena. Or rather, we entered it?It was quite busy as a busy street car show washappening and there was a lot of traffic from the convention center. It?s an order at the counter place and, looking at themenu, there?s isn?t too much that?s obviously vegetarian?a bean and cheese burrito, a couple salads and a quesadilla. Plus allof their sides (which are basic items like chips, black or ?no-fried? pinto beans and 2 kinds of rice) are vegetarian. So youwon?t go hungry but they don?t go out of their way with most of the main options to let you know vegetarian options areavailable. (Their website menu does have a separate vegetarian section I noticed while writing this, but in the store itself youreally need to ask questions to see what?s possible.) As it turns out, a lot is possible as they can substitute grilled veggiesfor any of the burritos, tacos or bowls to give you what you need. Both of their beans (no-fried pinto and black) arevegetarian. I had a grilled veggie burrito. It tasted okay but was very heavy on rice, and fairly light on beans. That may bejust the way it comes, though, my personal tastes like beans to be super present in a burrito. I also got a side of ?StreetCorn? instead of chips. This was pretty good?nice and sweet corn with cotija cheese and the corn had a tasty char to it. Theirwebsite menu has a ?Dietary Menus? section which has separate categories for vegetarian, vegan, keto and gluten-friendly sothey?re fairly accommodating to anyone?s needs Everything is fresh and sourced sustainably. Salsas are made in house?as theguacamole so the offerings are fresh?my only feeling (since I didn?t have the benefit of the website menu when I was at thestore) is that vegetarian offerings are an afterthought as they weren?t too obvious on the menu, and the burrito I got w Read more

Pretty sad Rubio's. Don't waste your time. I'll post pictures of what they claim you will get and what you actually get. The... lady that took my order was very difficult to place an order with. Just an all around bad experience. Read more

Always a tasty meal. And good service here as well. One of the only places I know of to get a Vanilla Coke fountain drink!
