First off, our server Heather was great. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and willing to accommodate requests. Food prepped... with fresh ingredients, drinks refreshing. I ordered the vegan double cheeseburger, protein style, no bun hesitant to try thejalapeno remoulade but our server assured me it wasn't hot and had it on the side for me. It was the best vegan burger I haveever tasted and she was right about the remoulade, was delicious. It came with a side of sweet potato crispy hash or kale salad, she recommended half and half so I could taste both. Great decision! Both were excellent. I had the hibiscus limeade drink ,which was really tart in the beginning, but very tasty and mellowed. Others in my party shared margherita pizza, very Good, light . And chicken mozzarella panini that resembled a quesadilla, they make their own " panini bread" . There is plenty ofseating, outdoors and indoors which feels like you're outdoors. Read more

What a beautiful location. The courtyard is vibrant with plants in beautiful pots and a variety of containers. The place was... buzzing with customers yesterday at 1:00 pm, yet there was a harmonious flow. I ordered a Korean-inspired bowl that was so tastyand filling. Such a nice place. Read more

This restaurant is my husband’s favorite restaurant. However, I always have bad lucks with my take away order. There is no... doubt that the taste of the food are amazing, and the staffs are friendly, but often times I get missing sides or something goeswrong with my food. Today I ordered a poke bowl, and my shiitake mushroom is still dry and hard… I really hope the foodquality could have a better management, so my husband and I don’t need to argue when he wants to go to the restaurant. This is the place for healthier food that does not compromise taste. The tuna poke and seared sea bass came with vegetables and... grains. The Korean noodles with steak had a nice kick but was not my favorite. The edamame guacamole was satisfying. My Mojitomock tail lacked flavor. Service is fast and efficient. Read more

This was a new experience for us as this was our first time at True Food Kitchen. Its in old town Pasadena off of Colorado Bl,... which is a positive. They have an extensive menu with many vegan dishes. A relative suggested we try this place and commentedthat they had pretty good food, thus, the reservations. One thing we noticed was the main entrees didn't come as a full coursemeal. You get the entree, but no soup or salad. This could be easily explained as a way to keep the cost down, but either way, with the upbeat atmosphere, a more fulfilling meal would have been nice. On to the actual meal... I had high hopes for thefood, but... I can't say that I was impressed. I ordered the Lasagna Boulogne (which according to the menu, contained fennelchicken sausage, mushrooms, organic spinach, ricotta and basil). Sounds like an impressive list of ingredients. I love chickensausage and all of the various spices. I had high hopes, based on the Ingredients. When the dish arrived, it was lackingflavor, lacking chicken sausage, and lacking lasagna noodles. What it did contain was a ton of chopped tomatoes on top. I'lltry not to be too hard on this particular dish but it was lacking flavor and there was no discernible chicken sausage. It hadwhat appeared to be a 1 inch x 4 inch sliver of lasagna noodles. Additionally, it was a rather bland dish. As I sifted throughthe majority chopped tomatoes looking for the chicken sausage, I was met with disappointment. There was plenty of ricottacheese, however, it was lacking my favorite ingredient in this dish, the chicken sausage. There was also no Italianseasonings. Service on the other hand was great. We had an actual comedian as our server who made our experience here awesome. She made sure we were happy with our meal, and kept our drinks filled. She really was an awesome waitress. We will return andtry to go to where she is working since she was so attentive. I have to give the food a highly inadequate three stars Read more

Hardest, drier and tasteless vegan burger of my life. Save your money and don’t try the double cheese vegan burger. What a... disappointment. It comes with tasteless sweet potatoes hash. Really average food, with limitless vegan options. The place isreally busy, and has many nice places to hang out but the food is just reaching average. Pricey and not worth it. I don’tthink we’ll be back. Read more

Tried it once and has become one of my favorite restaurants in Pasadena. Most things about it were 4-5 stars. The ambience is... superb - With a modern but contemporary decor with lots of plants and succulents and several modern touches. The staff were sofriendly and helpful. Our waitress was so much fun and informative, she made our experience so much better. All the dishes wehad were very tasty - just hoping they would have a little more quantity - particularly on the tacos plate (only 2 tacos -though on the larger side). Two entrees, an apetizer and two drinks, we paid $90 including tax. Not cheap but not too expensiveeither. I would visit again. Read more

We had a really nice lunch here. We had the tuna cups because they were out of crunchy tuna at the time. I really enjoyed my... double vegan burger. It had a great bite and was really delicious. We will be back for sure. Thank you True Food Kitchen Read more
