U Street is my FAVORITE pizza place in LA! Do yourself a favor and order the Juan Carlos - it is seriously amazing. But so is... every other thing on the menu. No exaggeration. Read more

Goood pizza. I had the regular pepperoni pizza and it was kind of salty but my friend had a pizza with a white base and it was... good. The Brussel sprouts are the best I've ever had! DELICIOUS. Make sure you park in the parking structure. Parking is limited Read more

We have sampled Chef Chris Keyser’s pizzas before but takeout is not as good as when you eat the pizza out of the oven. The... pizza crust is crispy outside and chewy inside. I wonder if this is a result of 2 days dough fermentation My family liked thevodka pepperoni pizza but A-A- Run pizza is my favorite. The green goddess chop salad needed more acid to temper the dressing. The street corn is unique with its chili agrodulce. The meatballs are so, so tender and plays well with the burrata. The risottorice pudding with cherries and pistachio is a good dessert to finish the meal. Read more

DO NOT EAT HERE - BAD EXPERIENCE The pizza is actually good but the service during our recent visit was so bad that it makes me... hesitate if I will ever come here again. I have dined here before and previously had a decent experience, but today's experience was not good. I organized an evening with 8 people to get together and made everyone drive over an hour to come hangout. The restaurant opens at 4pm and nobody answered the phone before then for me to place a dine-in order, so I could onlyplace a to-go order for the first time slot of 4:30pm. At 4:30 there were hardly any customers and both the inside and outsideseating were mostly empty. We asked nicely if we could sit inside and the mean waitress said we couldn't, even though all thetables were empty (and it was super hot outside, over 100 degrees), and despite the fact that I spent $150 dollars on just fourmedium-sized pizzas. Why did we tip you 18% on overpriced pizza just to be treated so badly? So we were forced to sit outside, and we then took a table directly in front of U Street Pizza's window. The mean lady then yelled at us and said we have to moveall the way to the end (where there was no shade), claiming the part in front of their own restaurant was not for thisrestaurant which doesn't make any sense. Again, there were hardly any customers at 430pm so I don't understand what's with thehorrible attitude. Our group was so upset that we went and ate in the nearby alley where there was shade and tables and nobodyyelling at us. By the end of the night, I spent over $500 at other restaurants who didn't treat us so poorly. Do you treat allcustomers equally bad or did you single us out for some reason when we asked very nicely, spent a LOT of money, and regrettablytipped you 18% (in advance) for this horrible service. I went here via a friend! Overall the vibe at the pizza shop is nice and the servers are friendly. The pizza itself was good,... but for the price I would think it would be worth it to probably go elsewhere. Read more

I will say this, throughout my lifetime of travels this is by far the best NY Style Pizza outside of NY. Thin Crust Pepperoni... was great! The cooks were awesome and the atmosphere was exciting. If your in Southern California and looking for a great Piethis is your place!! Read more

Right next to Union and across from Tacos 1986, I've been excited to try U Street since they opened. I've seen some mixed... reviews on the pizza, but we really enjoyed it. The texture of the dough, the crispiness, the quality of the ingredients, alltop-notch. We also really enjoyed the Japanese eggplant. I was glad to try the saffron risotto but probably wouldn't order itagain. Also, love the vibe and the hip hop playlist! My only complaint: we ordered the pepperoni pizza with vodka sauce ($25)but asked to have pepperoni on just one half of the pizza (my wife has been a vegetarian all her life). They would not complywith this request. So we ordered a second pizza, pepperoni with vodka sauce, and asked for no pepperoni. That, they could do.Huh?? I totally understand restaurants reserving the right to not make modifications, or not do "half this, half that" - butit's easy to just not place pepperoni on one half of the pizza, especially when it's a dietary restriction. So we ended upspending more, and leaving with a lot of leftovers - but overall, we still enjoyed the experience. We'll be back to try more ofthe menu! Read more

Amazing. Like Joe's Pizza in NYC. I ordered the pepperoni special original crust. Can't go wrong except don't order from... delivery ad most Uber Eats and others don't have pizza warmer carry bags to keep it hot. My pizza was ice cold. Luckily warm itup but next time need to try in person. Read more
