Awesome breakfast! They were busy, but the food came out quick and was delicious. The country fried steak melted (was able to... cut with a butter knife!) And the burrito was flavorful. Hash browns were crispy as requested and the home fries were fresh andtasty. Coffee was refilled promptly and service friendly. The prices are based upon cash, so be prepared with some greenbacksin you pocket. Read more

Sign over the doors says "Down Home Cookin", nothing fancy here but the service is very good, quick & friendly. The cowgirl has... pictures of her favorite hollywood cowboys on the wall along with american flags and ranch life tchotchke. Good light, welcomingatmosphere, and simple home style food make this an easy to recommend spot to start your morning in downtown Paso. Read more

Visited 26 July 2022, second visit Daniel greeted and seated us, then got our coffee, tea, and water started before our... waitress got to us. Our waitress, Beverly was on point. For our party of seven, she took each order effortlessly, and had noproblem adjusting when someone changed their mind to get something else. I had the chorizo & eggs with home fries, wheat toast, and a side of avocado, and coffee. The coffee was thick(!). I had it black and it was sooo smooth without being bitter. Ididn't even need to add anything. As soon as it was near half, one of the waitstaff was coming around offering refills. Similarto my first visit, food was great. Service was equally excellent and the waitstaff was very attentive. Highlyrecommend. ----- Visited 18 July 2022, first visit Breakfast was great. I got the French toast combination, which come withchoice of 2x eggs, and bacon or sausage. I chose bacon. And added a side of avocado (I loooove avocado and always, always add itif available). $14.95 + My friend got the chorizo & eggs, with hash browns, and sourdough bread. $15.95. We both enjoyed ourmeals and was so stuffed after eating that we decided to take a walk afterwards. Not listed on the menu are orange & cranberrymimosa and bloody Mary. I got the cranberry mimosa and it was good too. My friend wanted a beer but they either didn't have anyor the first server, a male, didn't understand what my friend asked. Our waitress, Debbie, was friendly and attentive. Aftertaking our order, the food came out fairly quickly. She checked on us to make sure everything was good, then brought our billonce she noticed we were done eating. Overall, the food was great. We just wished they had more alcoholic beverages to choosefrom. Read more

Went for breakfast a few days ago. Pretty uninspiring. Omelet was kind of tasteless and Dry. Overcooked. My wife?s pancakes were... also dry. Ordered a side order of sausage. Nuked. It?s like there are not enough cook staff and they are cooking in bulk andkeeping it (semi) warm. Overall disappointing. A pity as others had told us it was good. Décor is old school. Read more

A nice little local diner that has some pretty good breakfast! The staff was friendly, attentive and knew some of the regulars... by name. There is outside, inside and bar seating. I had the Biscuits and Gravy platter that came with hashbrowns or friedpotatoes and a side of sunny-side eggs. It was pretty tasty, the gravy was good and the biscuits were a good size. The eggs weregood too, sometimes it's easy to mess up something simple. I had some coffee too, it was pretty good and I don't think my cupever got past half empty! All in all, it's a good place for a nice sit-down meal and I'll more than likely be back! Read more

The staff was friendly and had a smile the whole time. The food wasn't what I was expecting. I ordered chicken fried steak and... eggs with hash browns and upgraded to biscuits and gravy. The steak was small but good. The eggs were good as well. The hashbrowns they served were more of just potatoes, not shredded and crisp like hash browns should be. The biscuits and gravy werethick and cold. Long story short I think they were just a quick bite for tourists. We didn't eat everything that was served andthey didn't mind charging us the full price.
