Our group of 8 celebrated a birthday dinner at the Paso Robles Inn Restaurant. The service was plentiful but slow for the number... of guests in the restaurant. Our 3 appetizer dishes were good. Of the 6 entrees ordered, 3 were beef steaks and some thetoughest meat we've ever had. This included a filet mignon, prime rib and the hamburger! The desserts ordered were terrific, sothat was a consolation. The total cost for all 8 of us including one bottle of wine was an exorbitant $750.00. We'll not return. Read more

I had the avocado toast and, cottage cheese with fruit. This is a premier establishment and, even in our current times they have... maintained a level of excellence one would expect. A simple dining experience but, exceptional nonetheless. Read more

The atmosphere is nice and relaxing and a great place for conversation over good food. The food was generally good, and the wine... selection was good. I can't say I was super impressed with my food. I ordered the filet mignon medium rare, and it was indeedmedium rare inside, but you would not have guessed that from the outside. It had a diamond pattern from the grill branded intothe hide of what should have been a delicate piece of meat. So it was presented with a tough very over cooked exterior with deepblack scorch marks burned into a diamond pattern from the grill. It looked dry and over cooked. When it arrived I asked theserver if this was medium rare and she assured me it was. I cut it open and saw a clearly medium rare interior and given theresponse of the server, who did not check back with me, I kept it instead of sending it back. However, when I order a steak likethat I do not expect a charred over cooked exterior, regardless of how perfect the interior is. The diamond grill scoring isqute, I get that, but it doesn't justify doing this to an otherwise choice cut of steak. Everyone else enjoyed their food anddrink, and other than a strange version of medium rare, it was generally a good experience. I would go again, but I would notorder the filet mignon again without first confirming that one I received last time was not the norme. Read more

I feel I didn't give this place a fair shake. It was HOT, the restaurant had a huge event going on, and I wasn't very hungry.... So, having did that... The wedge salad was excellent!! I ordered steak bites, but was too full to eat them then. Took them toeat later. They were fantastic the next day... tender, seasoned well, and yummy. I'll definitely try it again... Read more

The water was great The risotto that accompanied the salmon was the only item containing flavor. Tried the steak bites, the... mouth feel was fantastic - soft and relaxed like a steak should be - but very dry. Steaks are choice and not prime…. seemsodd for “The Steakhouse” Read more

MUST VISIT- a local staple, we enjoyed each bite. Our waitress Michelle was so welcoming and helpful. On Sunday’s they have a... great prime rib special. Ask about the story of the Inn- parts are haunted. Go outside after dinner and feed the giant koi fish. Will definitely go back next time we are in town. Read more

It was delicious! Megan was the best server ever. The bacon wrapped dates, prime tip, and butter cake were the best!
