I wish we could give half stars, because I'd give 3.5, not quite 4. Aidan was our server, and he was friendly, service was good... on a busy Friday evening. We started with appetizers: Baked Clams, very good, a whole clam, with perfectly broiled bread crumbson top. Baby Lamb Chops, excellent, perfectly medium well, also with a nice bread crumb coating. Grilled Octopus, delicious,tender. I thought it would be a full tentacle, but it came out as a salad, which was fine, the capers, red onions and roastedred peppers gave it nice flavor. For the Main Course: A decent sized Veal Chop stuffed with provolone and prosciutto - myhusband said it was excellent!!! Again, a good bread crumb coating on the outside, with a mushroom/onion gravy on top. As aside, he had the macaroni and cheese, that he loved!! It was creamy, cheesy and buttery. I had the Filet stuffed with crab meat.This was a little disappointing. 2 small filets, hardly stuffed, fairly bland and on the dry side. It was missing something.Served with rigatoni in the same sauce, that basically tasted like white wine (that was my choice, I could have had a redsauce.) An overall very good experience. Read more
The bartender took my order for my drink but never got it for me. The second bartender then took my order for my first drink It... was supposed to be a double but it was not. The food was good but look at the baked clams nothing in them. They were not reallybusy but the staff seemed really stressed. I had Veal and my wife had the Same and a tiramisu for dessert Read more
Friday afternoon late lunch…. early dinner. 4.30pm. It was a perfect late afternoon with a brilliant view of the Bay. We sat... outdoors. Huge umbrellas to shield you from the sun. Nice afternoon breeze. Bread was served at the onset. The avocado crabsalad was so amazing! The beets salad as well. The drinks were well made. I had two cocktails. Dan, our waiter was amazing. Itwas a perfect evening. Five star service. Went for a walk after dinner along the bay. Nice pier. Btw, free valet parkingavailable. Definitely worth every second spent. The aesthetic and the overall of this place is great. I would’ve gave it 5 stars if the hostess were a little more on top of... their game. Also if some of the food was better. The food was great but when tasting what other people in my party ordered itcould’ve been better! Read more
We went to Lombardi’s on the bay lastnight to celebrate my grandmother’s 73rd birthday. We were a large party of 10 and we... each were accommodated with keen attention and detail. Our server Juan was excellent. All of the meals were phenomenal. Theyserve large portions and is enough to share for 2 people. I got the stuffed whole lobster with garlic mashed potatoes and it wasa 5/5. I could not finish my meal and took home half. My family was so impressed with the location and atmosphere. What started as a wonderful celebration, ended in disappointment and anger. Our waiter was VERY nice but didn't seem to know... much about the specials or wine list so he was constantly running off to try to answer our questions. We decided on a bottle ofMoscato ($44) and he arrived with a $6 bottle of Barefoot. Seriously? Again, it was a celebration, so we let it slide. Orderedour food which was fine. Paid the check and then continued with our drinks and dessert. An hour later (no exaggeration) ourwaiter approached our table and told us that their cashier made a mistake and we owe them another $50. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??! IfYOU made the mistake, that's on you, not the customer. So we asked for the manager. Spoke with him and his final words to uswas, "I'll take care of it." He took care of it by charging us the $50 AFTER we left. I noticed it on my credit card the nextday. I have NEVER been so insulted. How dare them! I SIGNED for a certain amount and, what? did they think I wouldn't notice? Soour wonderful celebration turned into an aggravating, disappointing experience.
