Ordered 2 $15 each sandwiches and was left with subpar amount of meat, filling! Not sure what the hype is?
I stopped in on my way to work. I ordered the New York chopped steak. The flavor was good. I asked if they could spice it up a... bit, but who ever cooked it got a little hot sauce happy. Good thing I LOVE LOVE hit sauce. It was a but underwhelming as far ashow much chopped beef was on the bread considering the price point. 2oz more would have been perfect. Went to the hero joint for the first time ever because I heard they started serving the chopped cheese known as the Johnny... Chopped cheese at their restaurant and it was amazing. I never had a chopped cheese before and I know nothing will ever top thisone . So much better than a Philly cheese steak. I will definitely be returning to the hero joint to try more of theirsandwiches. Read more
The food was definitely fresh but there were definitely things they could improve upon. The Hero Joint - Patchogue Village The... food was really good and you can tell it was fresh. The price has us questioning if we will be back. My recommendation is thatthey find better ways to store their homemade chips which I suspect will also take care of the knats as well. Their homemadechips was the reason we decided to give them a try. They put so much time and effort into the homemade chips, which gives themthe competitive edge with those around them as they are one of the view with homemade chips. Read more
Ordered on Uber eats. I got the meathead sandwich. It was 13.99. It was very good. The bread was fresh and the cold cuts were... good but for that price I expected more meat. My wife got the Mikey Manhattan sandwich which was 14.99. She said it was verygood. She also got the homemade chips which she said were delicious. My only issue was the price. I understand with deliveryservices they add to the price but it seemed like a lot to pay 30+ for 2 sandwiches. Read more
I've ate here a few time and I absolutely love their sandwiches. 'The Bro' with lettuce, onions and the love is our favorite.... The salt and pepper chips are amazing. Hands down my favorite sandwich place in Patchogue. The Hero Joint is a definite everytime I visit! Thanks for great sandwiches!! Read more
Hard place to find. I walked in and there were no customers. 630pm thurs eve. There were 3 employees chatting. I stood there and... waited 5 mins or so before I was aknod .I ordered the American style hero and for $17 including tax I was less thanimpressed. The sandwich was fine and fresh ingredients. Nothing spectacular in service or over the top ingredients. Read more
