I've long enjoyed La Cantina, but it appears the pandemic has taken a toll on this fine restaurant. Over the course of the last... few months, I've joined friends there on 3 occasions. We have all commented on the abbreviated menu offerings, theinconsistencies in food preparation, the familiar items missing from appetizer platters, and the overly stretched service staff. The food is still good, the service is still okay, it just doesn't measure up to what we expect from La Cantina. Read more
Nice atmosphere for going out on a date or family gathering. The pizza is absolutely amazing. The La Cantina red wine vinegar... dressing/marinade is the best red wine vinegar I've ever experienced and I almost want to drink it straight. The outdoor diningsection has a beautiful water front view. All of the food is very delicious and the wine selection is quite nice. It can get alittle expensive but for the quality of the experience it's definitely worth it. Parking can be a bit of an issue on busynights. Read more
This is a long time family owned restaurant! I've been going here with my family since I was born & I've carried on the... tradition with my family! I've NEVER had a bad meal! And it's always wonderful to be remembered by owners while arriving! Thisis a MUST GO stop! Read more
The restaurant is fantastic and the wait staff are friendly! The menu is limited but the food was good. Highly recommend... sitting on the deck. There was live music while I was there at my last visit. He was exceptionally talented. Read more
Went to dinner on a Saturday night and thankfully was able to get a table without too much of a wait. Wait staff were very... friendly and reviewed all the hits on the menu. They were even willing to bring out extra plates because everyone in my groupwanted to share with each other. Food was exceptional and portions were large. Lots to see and do here. Spaghetti special on Tuesdays. Fun spaces for large groups. Catering. Outside Dining. Pizza takeout.... Birthday dinners. Wedding parties, Receptions, Anniversary, Romance, etc. Everyone's favorite. Family and Couple friendly. Loveis in the air here! This family has lived in and supported Van Buren County for 2 centuries. There local support of youth isoverwhelming. Read more
Really disappointing for the $150 bill we paid ( including gratuity). We waited to be seated, which is fine, but then someone... yelled at us from across the room to indicate she was ready to seat us. Servers didn't know the menu well. For example, told usthere was only 1 cab we could order by the glass, but the menu indicated there were 2. The meal left a lot to be desired. Appswere the best part of the meal. Artichoke dip was fine. Bruschetta was soggy and over powered by garlic, to the point that itwas spicy. Pizza crust wasn't cooked. we asked for chicken on the Alfredo, there was no chicken when it arrived (luckily weweren't charged for it). Read more
