OH MY GOD. this was some of the best food i've ever had! my bf and i drove up from jersey to visit salem. it was about 9/10pm... and we were driving around looking for food and found this absolute gem of a place! everything was absolutely perfect and weeven got ricotta balls on the house. i wish i got our waitresses name she was so nice. 10 out of 5 stars! Very friendly staff. Kitchen was busy, phone constantly ringing with to go orders yet they cooked very efficiently and everyone... was having fun. Handy spot to grab food if you're at Granite Coast. Food is great - nice portion size, fabulous flavor, reasonable prices. Read more
Gallo Nero is a go to take out place for us. We absolutely love the pizza. And the dishes like fusilli also vodka is a favorite... too. The chicken dishes are fantastic. Portions are very large, two people can easily split one dinner. Other things like theirsubs , are good too. Don't hesitate to order. Read more
This place is an absolute gem! We're staying in Salem for the week and wanted to travel out for more of a local place. We called... ahead to see if they offered off-street parking and the gentleman that answered the phone even offered to come out when we gotthere to guide us, which was incredibly considerate. We got there with no problems and got seated and they brought over somefried ricotta balls in sauce that were to die for! My fiancé and I both got pasta dinners which come with salad and bread.Their house dressing was the best Golden Italian style dressing that I've ever had and their rolls were amazingly fresh. Theymake their own pasta and it was very clear from the start. Our dishes were so fresh and filling! I only wish that we had savedroom for desert! Their cost was extremely affordable, as well. I went to Gallo Nero tonight, I was going to order a cheese pizza. After looking at the Menu I saw the Mediterranean Pizza. I've... ordered this pizza at other places on the North Shore in the past. Gallo Nero is the very best Mediterranean pizza I have everhad anywhere. I would give it a 10 if I could. Thin crust, made perfect. Delicious, you will not be disappointed. Yum! Read more
After having many people tell me to go try it out I finally got the chance to pop in and let me tell you, I was not... disappointed. The pizza was perfect from the crust to the sauce.
