Killen’s BBQ is quintessential Texas BBQ. You walk in and order cafeteria style. I highly recommend trying the three meat... plate which comes with two sides so you can sample as many items as you like. We got the pulled pork, marbled brisket, and beefribs with a side of coleslaw and Mac and cheese. The pulled pork was definitely the star of the show. It was packed with flavor,super tender but crisped edges. The brisket was melt in your mouth delicious! The ribs were good, a little on the sweet side forme and they were very tiny for the price. Loved the coleslaw, fresh, crispy and refreshing. The Mac and cheese didn’t have alot of flavor and I probably wouldn’t order it again. We also got the brisket nachos on recommendation from the workers. Itwas good, not great. Pretty skimpy meat portions and needed more salsa to really jazz it up. Not my favorite. Otherwise it wasreally great. Overall, the pulled pork was the best and I would definitely come back to try more items next time. Read more
We brothers came from all over Michigan, Minnesota, California, Colorado, Florida and Dallas Texas and our first stop was... checking out what that Texas BBQ is all about. Heard alot about this place so we decided to check it out. So here's my personalreview without any sauce just tasting and trying to get the flavors from the Seasoning and the smoke. Pork Rib- looks good,nice and tender not much smoke to it though and light on the smoke rings. Flavor wise it could of use a little bit more kind ofblend. Beef Ribs- looks good and it's huge, nice & juicy, nice smoke flavor and look to it. Flavor wasn't too bad could've adda little more Seasoning also. Pull Pork- looks good, juicy and tender and the it definitely have the flavor. Sausage wasn'tnothing special it's a smoke sausage. Brisket- looks good smoked good, nice tender and juicy but again could of used moreSeasoning. Mac n cheese is good Greens was pretty damn good I gotta say lol. It didn't really wow me for the first time kindof like what makes them different from other BBQ joint, but i don't mind stopping by again to give it another try. 3.5 overall Read more
Really good bbq! We asked for the 3 meat plate, we choose ribs (so good), brisket (awesome!!) and turkey. For sides we took... mac&cheese (very creamy) and coleslaw (it could be better). We order a potato with pulled pork and it was delicious. For two allthis was too much. For dessert, pecan pie, it was amazing!! Read more
Tasty food with mediocre service from the establishment. Bark on brisket was on point and the rib was huge. Creamed corn, mashed... potatoes, and fries had a good flavor. The creamed corn was a little too runny. I really wanted sausage and they said I had todine in for that (make sure you reserve a table). So, we did, we waited 55minutes for a table and then I'm told they ran out ofsausage an hour before closing though I did see it brought out to a table, maybe I just missed it. Most important for the 4stars, service was not nearly as good as the food. I'm really big on having something to drink when eating and our glasses wereempty for a while as we watches our waiter chat near the food prep line. Overall, I was really looking forward to this place,but my husband and I agreed we would not wait again for food that okay. Best thing was probably brisket queso, brisket, andbanana pudding. Hope your visit is better than ours! We traveled all the way from San Antonio to Katy (our hotel) and then over30 minutes across Houston for this nice place. Oh and the bugs, caterpillars were everywhere outside whole we waited mostly withhalf and decapitated bodies. Read more
Still the one of the best barbeque places in town. Principally since they actually season their beef instead on relying on the... sauce for flavor. Sausage is excellent, lean and meaty, but not greasy at all. I dont know how they do it. Pork ribs aresomewhat moist, and tender with some chew. Sides are pretty good, the mac and cheese being the highlight. Very cheesy andbuttery. Definitely get the sausage and brisket here. Prices posted are of 2-27-2022. Read more
My wife and I were on a layover in Houston when she wanted BBQ. This place was awesome! We knew we had picked well when we... arrived and the line was out the door to the sidewalk. It was that way when we left after eating. The BBQ was all juicy andtasted great! The banana pudding was to die for. The absolute best Barbecue around Houston Texas is Killen’s that we ate at this afternoon with three guests. It was so... delicious that I purchased two pounds of brisket to eat with thanksgiving meals tomorrow evening, and take brisket sandwiches toeat at work until it is gone. We also bought a quart of bread pudding and a quart of Mac n Cheese. The line in took over anhour but it and the long drive was totally worth it. I crave to eat here again and again. I have pictures of the outside andwill add more of the takeout. We devoured our food inside there. They have the most amazing cream corn. I most stronglyencourage everyone that likes BBQ to go there. They have outside tables and inside tables. It is wise to get there just beforeor as they open. They do run out of BBQ perhaps daily. Enjoy. Read more
Amazing BBQ! It is a Pearland & Houston area staple for a reason. I highly recommend the fried mac & cheese and regular mac &... cheese. BBQ is great quality regardless of which meat you choose. You might have to wait in line but it is well worth it. Beprepared to spend a good amount per person and get absolutely stuffed. Desserts are tasty too! Read more
