Went into la Madeline and picked up a jar of tomato basil soup and a jar of blackberry spread. When I got to the counter I also... ordered two creme brûlée desserts. The employee rang up the order and I paid. I choose not to leave a tip for takeoutcounter service. My assumption here is that this decision affected the rest of the transaction. The employee boxed thedesserts and dropped the box into a bag. Because he did not close the box, one dessert came out of the box and the other wasupside down in the box. He made no attempt to bag the other two purchases so I handled that part myself. Again, I am assumingthis was the result of me not leaving a tip for counter service and I could be wrong. But if what I experienced was normaloperating procedure, it was indeed a poor performance. Read more
The food looks and smells nice but its taste isn't worth the price. Everything I tried felt bland or off and the grilled cheese... was the same. It was okay at best. The chicken was kind of dry and bland but the crepes were okay. Read more
First time to visit. Had breakfast with my husband. Breakfast was ok. The croissant was delicious! Had it with the rhubarb jam.... Also ordered latte and mocha coffee. Read more
The quality of the food has really tanked. I came here yesterday and ordered the same thing I order every time; the chicken... salad sandwich and potato soup. The potato soup literally tasted like water and a scoop of powder-based, bag mashed potatoes.And as far as the sandwich, I've tried better from the HEB deli, not to mention it was a lot smaller than usual. I went there a couple weeks ago, and my food was horrible you could count the lil pieces of chicken on my sandwich and there was... barely any cheese or bacon on it. That was somewhat acceptable because it was edible. Now, what is not ok is the soup I orderedwith it. I ordered the spicy kale and tomato soup.... it looked like chili and it was black (pics below for reference). I neversaw it like that it tasted bitter and made me sick I instantly spit it out. I put a complaint online and called and emailed theyspoke to me did not refund my purchase and said they were gunna mail me a gift card THEY NEVER DID. Do not go there they do nothave good food, customer service, and will not refund you for inedible food. They forgot about my experience I did not. Read more
Ordered the salmon plate nieces food came out . minutes later I get my lukewarm salmon I never send stuff back but I did big... mistake because atleast the lukewarm fish was better tasting!!! I have a full plate that I won?t eat now and my niece is done .If you have to send it back just ask for your money back too! My mistake will never happen again!!!!! Wonderfully friendly staff, curbside pickup was super fast and the food was delicious! I ordered the pick your own 6 pack. I... chose butter croissant, almond and chocolate croissant, along with the ham and cheese croissants. The Ham and cheese ???? is sofilling! The dessert croissants were easy to warm and delicious. Very hit or miss, sandwich looked and tastes burnt.. Updated review: Smaller portions, lower quality, high prices, poor... customer service I came to this restaurant yesterday morning and it was horrible. I waited awhile to order with 4 people infront of me. Some business women cuts in the front of everyone saying she has a business meeting to go to and needs her order. Iguess making it to my work shift on time was not as important. Then the manager let every one else in line know he would bepausing taking orders so he could deal with the door dash drivers. After all this time wasted I just left. This place is toounderstaffed to have both doordash and regular customers and it was really unfair to let someone cut in front when other peoplewere already waiting.
