Awful experience, the waitress was clearly having a bad day, my husband asked for a veggie gondola and there was a... miscommunication and he accidentally got the wrong food. She then proceeds to scold us and tell us that it's essentially ourfault. Never gives us refills, my grandma's food was cold. The veggies in my sandwich were old and tasted like a refrigerator.Then when our waitress asks us how the food was I was honest and told her it was awful and she goes, "oh guess I shouldn't havesent home the hostess so she could go to homecoming then" like why do you feel the need to comment negatively and get the 'lastword in", like I get it i work in the food service industry and i fully understand that its impossible to find good workers butthis was a terrible experience unrelated to them being undwrstaffed. Food quality has severely suffered comparative to theconsistent food I've had my whole life from avantis. Now we've had multiple bad experiences and I guess we will have to takeavantis off our list for restaurants to eat at. Read more

I was craving spaghetti, so I got the chicken parm. It was good but it just didn't fix my craving. I think part of it is because... there sauce has no meat or meatballs. It wasn't mom's home made but it wasn't bad. Read more
On 7/6/22 at 4:30 pm I went to the Pekin store. We had ordered a sandwich with no mushrooms do to an high sensitivity. My BIL... is a disabled Veteran and he loves Avantis so when he is visiting us, we order from there. Never again. There were mushroomson the sandwich. We had to go back to the store where the manager on duty did make the sandwich correctly. 15 miles each wayand no reimbursement for the additional costs. Called corporate twice left messages with HR and the owner. No returns. If hehad eaten the sandwich he would have vomited the rest of the night and been unable to keep his VITAL medications down. Guaranteed trip to the hospital if not worse. All I wanted was call back and to be sure that proper allergy training was givento the employee. We leave large tips and this is what we get? Read more
We went here with a group of kids to celebrate the track season. It was almost 60 people. We arranged everything ahead of time,... rented the room, picked out a buffet style menu and thought everything was in order. The main meal on the buffet was rigatoninoodles with choice of either meat or Alfredo sauce. After only 3 of the 14 tables went through, we were out of noodles. It tookthem over 15 minutes, with several people asking, before they refilled the container. This also happened with the salad, saladdressing and bread. This meant that each group was done eating at completely different times. There were awards and certificatesplanned for after dinner, but had to be cut short because of how long it took for everyone to eat, and we only had the room fora certain period of time. We do this every year. And every year they keep getting worse. Next year, I think we may go somewhereelse that actually knows what they are doing. Read more
I had come here on the suggestion from some friends and it did not disappoint. The parking is free and ample and the restaurant... is located in a convenient part of town. I got inside and was immediately seated. The folks working were all friendly andservice was excellent. The custom pasta dish I ordered was perfectly made as how I wanted it and it tasted amazing. Oh, and thebread they have is fantastic. I think I'd stop by just to get a few loaves of them. Read more
