Truly a classic. Great food. Great location for large groups. We had nine in our group and enjoyed our meal very much.

As a seasonal local, I'm surprised that the "tourists" don't appreciate the high value and enjoyability of a quality, flavor... filled dinner that far exceeds "Frankenmuth". The service is top notch and there is always enough left over for the nextday. I'm reminded of Yogi Berra's comment when asked if if still goes to a certain restaurant, and he replied, " nobody goesthere any more...the lines are too long'. Same with The Dam Site.....the lines are too long! Read more

Bad experience.. This place doesn't take reservations and waiting list was 45 min. We came at 6pm, waited till 6.50pm to seat at... the table and at 8.20 left absolutely hungry, because for all this time we got only tiny glasses of coke and littlecoleslaw..Service is very slow.. Prices way to high (35-65$ per person just meal), the place is very "tired" and crying forrenovation. Nothing to say about food , because for 2 hours and 20 minutes we got none. Never again. Love love LOVE this place! A cozy time warp that gives you an immediate mid century hug when you walk in. The atmosphere is... just wonderful and the attention to detail and showcase of antiques is impressive. Delicious chicken dinners with creativerelishes and out of this world homemade buttered noodles. Just a charming place. Can?t wait to come back! Read more
