Truly a classic. Great food. Great location for large groups. We had nine in our group and enjoyed our meal very much.

As a seasonal local, I'm surprised that the "tourists" don't appreciate the high value and enjoyability of a quality, flavor... filled dinner that far exceeds "Frankenmuth". The service is top notch and there is always enough left over for the nextday. I'm reminded of Yogi Berra's comment when asked if if still goes to a certain restaurant, and he replied, " nobody goesthere any more...the lines are too long'. Same with The Dam Site.....the lines are too long! Read more

Bad experience.. This place doesn't take reservations and waiting list was 45 min. We came at 6pm, waited till 6.50pm to seat at... the table and at 8.20 left absolutely hungry, because for all this time we got only tiny glasses of coke and littlecoleslaw..Service is very slow.. Prices way to high (35-65$ per person just meal), the place is very "tired" and crying forrenovation. Nothing to say about food , because for 2 hours and 20 minutes we got none. Never again. Love love LOVE this place! A cozy time warp that gives you an immediate mid century hug when you walk in. The atmosphere is... just wonderful and the attention to detail and showcase of antiques is impressive. Delicious chicken dinners with creativerelishes and out of this world homemade buttered noodles. Just a charming place. Can?t wait to come back! Read more

What an amazing dining experience. Walk into the restaurant and you?re transported back in time. Great views of the surrounding... property. We ordered the perch dinner. Started to get a little nervous as all of the tables around us ordered the all you caneat fried chicken (which looked amazing). Once our food arrived, we were happy we ordered what we ordered. Sides were plentifuland filling. Perch was fried beautifully and moist. Waitress Angela made sure we had everything we needed. Read more

Throw back to a bygone era of dining. Fried perch quite tasty. Fried chicken the staple. Get there early if you don't want to... wait during the busy season. Read more

While traveling to Mackinaw Island we stopped off in Pellston for the night. Looked for places to eat on Google of course and... found the Dam Site Inn. What intrigued me was the all you can eat chicken dinner with all the fixings Friedchicken Potatoes Gravy Noodles Peas Salad Rolls Honey Butter It looked like home to me, and by the look of all the empty platesit was and the family was stuffed!! I will note that this place sends you back in time it?s locked into its retro dated feel butthat?s part of what makes this place shine! I dig the feel, the service and the food! Read more
