When I first moved to the area back in April, I had been on the hunt for some local cuisine and looked everywhere. I then came... across Mizuki Asian Bistro! Wow what a hidden gem! Today was my 3rd visit. It’s under new ownership and the head sushi chef AJ is amazing. I’m very happy I am working in the... area and can return often. Excellent, quick, attentive service. I am a long time customer and I usually have had good meals from Mizuki, but my last takeout was a disappointment. The tuna... roll had a stale, pasty consistency and usually great homemade soy sauce was replaced by generic packets. After a couple ofbites I threw away most of my meal. Hopefully this was just a bad day and I will stop back in the future. But it is time togive some other restaurants a try. Read more
Mizuki has fresh, well-presented sushi. Great service, reasonable prices, casual fun but nice atmosphere. What gets me though... is youll always get meaty softshell crab. Many places give you softshell crab thats mostly breading and/or shell with verylittle actual meat. Mizuki gives you the softshell crab itself, even wrapped in a spider roll! SOO good. Very good selection of sushi, sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese specialties as well as Asian fusion dishes. We really... loved a very accurate and neat presentation, with some of the dishes absolutely amazing with their colorful and picturesquelook. Prices are somewhat higher than what the area's competitors offer. Also, the portion sizes are not that generous. However,the extensive menu and thorough preparation outweigh the negative. We will definitely dine (or get a take-out) at Mizuki again. Read more
One of the best Asian bistro in the area. The restaurant itself is clean and has really cool lights. They give you hot... towelettes before you eat to clean your hands. I got a variety of different dishes and they were all fresh and tasty. The sushihas a thin layer of rice and thick slabs of fish and lots of filling. Plenty of sushi places load their sushi with rice to fillyou up with cheap ingredients but you get mostly fish here. Sashimi was really fresh. The fried red snapper was perfectly friedand not greasy at all. The udon was bursting with umami goodness and the fried ice cream was heavenly. My only criticism waswith the waitress we had. She never checked our glasses, which were empty, to ask for more tea. Very stale personality. I'll askfor someone else when I go back because despite that issue, it's definitely worth another trip. Love the consistency of their sauce where it isn’t too thick nor too heavy. Great dining room as well
