Had dinner at George last night and it was INCREDIBLE!!! This was the first time we’ve been there and it definitely will not... be the last. We started out our meal with the fig and pear ricotta. Oh Wow, what an amazingly decadent little surprise that was!We also had an order of the crab cakes which were absolutely delicious. But the star of our meal was our main course. My husbandand I decided to split an entree and we decided on the braised short ribs and mushroom ravioli. Holy full of flavor batman! Theribs were rich and moist, the ravioli was cooked to perfection and the glaze brought it all together. It was by far one of themost delicious things I’ve ever eaten! A great find while visiting Pensacola. We had Sunday brunch at this hidden gem and it was fantastic. We were a big party and... the service was great too! Our favorites were the banana foster latte( sounds weird but trust me, delicious), the appetizer ofwhipped ricotta with pear and roasted pumpkin seeds,the fresh garden omelette with goat cheese, the avocado bowl, lobster eggsBenedict and the French toast. I cannot say enough about this place! I can never decide what to eat when coming because everything on the menu is incredible... and cooked to perfection! The service is fantastic and it’s fine dining at its finest. I’ve been there on a date and thelast time I went I went with a group of friends who ranted and raved about how it was a great suggestion and how much they lovedit as well. I will certainly be back. The food was great and the waitress was awesome! I’m not a strong coffee drinker but the coffee was very weak. Surprisingly,... this restaurant is geared towards upstarts, so I would think the coffee would have been a little stronger. My friend loves thiskind of restaurants but I’m more on the practical side. Our bill was $59 plus 20% tip (minimum). Is it priced right? I thinkso because you’re also paying for its name. Read more
