Stopped into this historic restaurant. It was at lunch time and they were typically busy. However, the service was a little slow... getting to our order. However, when that order came out it was exactly what we wanted and they were super friendly. The the bluebacon burger was very good. Portions were a little small. I might come back again and give her another shot. Maybe when they'reless busy. But definitely a good middle of the road diner for a quick bite Read more

Jerry's Drive In is a Pensacola institution. And I'm not just saying that it's super popular and trendy. I think it has... literally been here since the beginning of time. And for good reason, too. Great location. Solid food. Nice service. It's justgood. This is another one of those Pensacola places that has funny little signs and antique Coke signs and college footballsigns everywhere. Like an indoor flea market, in a way. They also are cash only. So show up with your cash, or you'll have touse that ATM in the vestibule, and that fee is harsh. Once you order at the counter, you get your number and find your table.Cozy booths and a nice long bar top. They bring your food and drink out to your when it's ready. This most recent time I came,I ordered the sweet tea. Living in Orlando for so long now, I forgot just how irresponsible the South is with how much sugarthey put in their tea. I have missed it so. And then I ordered my usual, the only thing I have ever ordered here, the one, theonly, the Mullet Sandwich (with Tartar). People think that mullet is a garbage fish, but they are wrong. It is delicious. It ismy second favorite fish of all time, after catfish, of course. Jerry fries it up in a light batter, throws it on a bun withsome tartar, and serves it up nice and fresh. Amazing. Also, a side of fries and a side of onion rings. These are just frozenand fried and slapped on a plate. But you know, sometimes that just what you need. You know what I mean. Read more

I have been on a mission to try different restaurants that I hadn't eaten at before. I found Jerry's on a google search. I had... the meatloaf special. It was pretty good, it was a bit much for lunch though. I prefer my meatloaf with brown gravy and thisone was with tomato sauce. The sauce reminded me of the sauce my grand mother made with sausage and peppers. Kind of a bigmenu and a lot looked good. Will try something else next time. They don't take credit cards. Read more

Great neighborhood diner with good comfort food in a friendly setting. Kim and I split the grouper finger dinner, it was fresh... and came out quickly. The menu has a lot of choices and you can even order a beer. Prices are very reasonable. Read more

My grandmother came here for the burgers and they?re still pretty damn good. The pimento cheese was also better than I expected.... Kid?s grouper fingers were 5*. Service wasn?t great, high school kid. The portions were small, especially the pimento. The hotroast beef sandwich was like lunch meat cooked on a flat grill (not boar?s head either lol). It was hard, stiff, and honestlythe worst damn sandwich I?ve ever tasted. I love the feel of this place. The atmosphere is nostalgic, reflecting its place inPensacola history. The cook bringing out the food with a big smile was an added touch. Read more
