If I could give this place 100 stars I would! My husband and I love trying different foods and we've been to many of the local... restaurants in the Peoria area and I am happy to say Chef Moussa's place is hands down our favorite!! You can taste thedifference in the quality of the ingredients. It all tastes fresh with the true flavors coming through that are distinct. Thefood was piping hot and I mean it, that pita bread was steaming and out of this world. The hummus is legit and I can't even sayenough good things about the falafel. They are huge, crisp, not greasy or hard and full of flavor. Don't get me started on thegyro meat, super juicy and flavorful and not greasy or mushy. The portions are also huge, my husband and I ordered two platters,an appetizer and a baklava assortment for dessert and we had three take home boxes when we left. All of this for a little over$50!! Wow. I was visiting from out of town and chose Chef Moussa based off the reviews. The food was incredible, the homemade pita,... just wow. And to top it off, we were treated like royalty by the owner himself. I can't recommend Chef Moussa enough. I willmake a point to come back the next time I'm in Peoria. This place is amazing! We were served quicker than our estimated wait time even though it was very busy. The food was all... excellent. The service was outstanding. I chose this restaurant because it has many vegan options (veggie sampler picturesbelow) and they are all labeled clearly on their menu. I was very impressed with the taste and quality of the food. Over the top nice guy owner and chef (typical for middle easterner though). So many people recommended this place but we finally... got around to it. Shawarma sandwiches were excellent and everything else was too. Humus was especially tasty with piping hotbread. Perfect and authentic food with great hospitality. Read more
Stopped in here as we were traveling. EXCELLENT middle eastern food. We each had a platter, and there was enough food for a... second meal. Pita was made on site and piping hot. The chicken was tasty and tender. The fries were some of the best I've everhad. Chef Moussa and his wife both stopped by to check on us, and were ever so helpful. We went there with friends and while It's a small place yet you will love it. The host is quite friendly and allows you to take... your time in choosing the food items and quite willing to offer you extra breads if needed. We ordered a lot of platters quitedifficult to remember however their falafel platter is must try.
