We are from out of town visiting family. Ordered take out. We ordered multiple sushi rolls, fried rice and padthai. The food was... really bad and not fresh. Chicken and shrimp were stale. The fried rice was really hard and dry. We threw the padthai as it wasreally bad. Please don't was your money and time Will not recommend this restaurant anyone. Luckily none of us got sick. The service and food are amazing. I went with a group of five people and they managed and met our needs well. Dining and hibachi... grill are very kid friendly but the Korean BBQ might not be the best for very young children due to open hot surfaces. Great fordate nights! Read more

My adult son & I had been here about a month ago & had great service & food. We returned on a recent Sunday for lunch. Service... was ok, even though not busy, & food disappointing. My son's sweet potato sushi was delicious. His mango bubble tea runny & notflavorful. He had ordered one last time which was thick & delicious. My salt & pepper tofu was advertised as with grilledvegetables & I had requested crisp tofu. Tofu mushy, few pieces of cooked onion on top of bed of iceberg lettuce with slices ofjalapeño peppers. Entire dish tasteless. Both times my son ordered curry to go. Last time it was delicious. This time, runny &bland. For $57 I will not return. Read more

Our first time as a family going to a hibachi grill and we had a blast! We all enjoyed the performance and the "overall vibe"... (my tween girl's words lol). The hibachi meal was fantastic and my husband and I each have another 2 meals of leftovers. Thekids liked that there was a kids menu - they especially enjoyed the french fries (note: they did try a little of the hibachi). We also enjoyed the decor of the restaurant. We will be returning! One of our favorite sushi places in Peoria for both dine-in and takeout. Their signature and regular maki rolls are very good.... Some of our favorite sushi dishes include the Hokkaido roll, shrimp tempura roll, Las Vegas roll, and sake (salmon nigiri). Wealso tried the sirloin steak hibachi and it was delicious! However, we did feel the fried rice was a little too salty. The housesalad and miso soup are always great. The interior of the restaurant is very nice. We have not tried the Korean BBQ yet butplan to try that soon. The service was great and we didn’t have to wait long. The prices are slightly higher than some similarstores in town but reasonable considering the quality of the food and overall experience. Read more

We’ve ordered takeout from Hokkaido at least once a month for the past 2 years. I always get the Thai panang curry with... chicken and my husband always gets the pad Thai with beef. The past two times we’ve ordered from here, our meals were notnearly as good as usual. It seems they’ve changed cooks or recipes on both these dishes. The curry used to be good. Now it’sbland and not great. It’s marginal at best. My husband used to think their pad Thai was the best he’s ever had. The last twotimes, it has not been the same. Very disappointed in the changes they’ve made. We’ll be looking for another restaurant inthe area next time we want to eat Thai. Read more

Would not recommend for korean bbq. We came from out of town and always love korean bbq but Hokkaido is easily the worst we have... ever been to. Value wise it was great but quality wasn't great, and Holy cow was it slow! They are electric griddles and theydon't get very hot. The ventilation is terrible so you're just boiling your meat and getting covered in smoke. Overalldefinitely don't go here for korean bbq. Especially if you are short on time. It took 2 hours and we still didn't get it allcooked just got tired of it. Read more
