My fiance surprised me with Jerk Hut to celebrate my completion of physical therapy. This was my first time trying Caribbean... food. It will not be the last. The ribs were amazing. The meat all but melted in your mouth. The cabbage was instantlyaddicting. The red beans and rice was astounding. She had me try a bit of her jerked chicken and without a doubt some of thebest chicken I have eaten. I can not wait to order from them again. Don't care how you get there. We got the jerk chicken (with cabbage and Mac and cheese sides) and vegan tofu tacos. All dishes were absolutely delicious!!!... Never thought cabbage could be so tasty. Very filling too, feels like a mother's home cooking because they make sure you arefull and happy! Would order takeout from here again. Read more

Well the food was cold!!! The lady on the phone was sooo damn rude ! Then had the nerve to hit on my guy after he left!! The woman who took my order was so nice. I ordered the vegan (tofu) jerk tacos and they were ready within the 10 minutes that... she projected. While the tacos were super spicy they were also incredibly delicious. It was the perfect quick meal and I willdefinitely be back the next time I?m in town! Read more
Their vegan tofu tacos with fries is an affordable and quick option while on the go. They take pickup orders over the phone and... have a small outdoor seating area. Their indoor seating area was unavailable due to COVID. My order was ready within the 20minutes it took to get there. An excellent addition to Campus Town! If you enjoy spicy food like I do, you must get the Spicy Mac & Cheese, Loaded Fries, and... Chicken Curry. Also had the Jerk Oxtail, which was great, but the least spicy of the items. In my opinion, these dishes weremore spicy than the "very spicy" level at some of Peoria's Indian restaurants, loved it! Staff is super friendly and willing toexplain the menu and how each item is prepared. Portions are generous. Limited indoor seating for now. The restaurant and staff were very nice but the food was really bad (so sorry Jerk Hut). Got jerk chicken, greens, yams.... Everything had the overwhelming flavor of cloves. It overpowered everything and we ended up throwing most of it out. The flavorstayed in our mouths for the whole night. My daughter said her spicy Mac & cheese side was good though. All three of us couldn'tkeep eating. We were really disappointed because we were excited to try it & love Caribbean food as I was born & raised there.Couldn't taste any jerk spice except cloves, so unpleasant. Can't stress how incredibly strong it was. If you love clove flavor,then absolutely try it, just not for us. Also wish they had plantain but I imagine that's difficult to get around here. Read more
