One of my favorite spots in Peoria, right up there with One World and Zion Coffee, Rhythm provides a unique and Southern... inspired menu in a hipster flower-child dugout. There's a lot of cozy dark atmosphere and bedazzled lighting with basic tablesand chairs strewn from the live performance area past the bar towards the kitchen. Our group of four went for lunch time to finda friendly but slow experience. I tried the Tandoori salad and black bean chili combo. Very tasty and super array of flavors,the others did burgers and sandwiches as you can see in my photos. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Upon leaving I hadto ask about the bread pudding, realizing there was one left took up the offer. My friend and I were both spoiled rotten by it!I'll have to come back and check out that gumbo! Fantastic, the place was packed but the charming hostess offered two seats at the bar. Our bartender was very nice, personable... and attentive despite the crowd. The food took a little longer than expected but it was well worth the wait. I had the chickpeaburger with a side of mashed potatoes, the burger was delicious and held together well for a house made veggie burger. It hadgood flavor on its own and wasn't dependent on the curried ketchup or Sriracha mayo, but they added just the right zing. Myhusband had the gouda burger and a side salad with house made pesto dressing, he practically inhaled it, it was so good. Theatmosphere was lively and again, the service was great. An all around perfect introduction to Peoria for our first trip, we'llbe back. Read more

Just passing through and staying 1 night & found this awesome place to eat & have a drink or 2.

Try the Salmon BLT and mashed potatoes! They?ve also got some nice drink options and often have live music. The service was... great too. Only rating it 4 stars because I once had an experience where after over 2 hours we still didn?t get our food andwas told to keep ordering drinks and appetizers. It was on my birthday with friends and everyone got too hungry to keep waiting.To be fair, it was a First Friday and some large unexpected groups were there as well.
