Been going here for some time now last time I was there I had steak and it tasted like they changed the meat it was not good
They aren't super friendly but the food is absolutely amazing! Love their fries and philly cheese steaks
I was in Peoria working and we sent for take out so I can't comment on the atmosphere or ambiance of the premises. I can say... our food was ready when we went to pick it up and everyone's order was correct. I ordered the gourmet ham sandwich and gourmetit was. The best tasting ham I have ever had in a sandwich. It included swiss cheese, crushed pineapple, mayo, lettuce, andtomato as well. French fries were good and plentiful. I would definitely recommend the gourmet ham sandwich. Read more
Decent. The Philly was very very skimpy on meat. I was excited to try it. But not kidding you I had enough meat for maybe just... half the sandwich. I got the 12 inch. The fries were excellent. But very disappointed that there was zero meat. And overloadedin Mayo and all I could taste. All 3 sandwiches we ordered that were 12 inch were very skimpy. Would not recommend. Read more
I?m an out of state visitor and I stopped here for a quick bite and boy I was in for a TREAT! Steak sandwich was absolutely... DELICIOUS, the fries were TOP NOTCH and lightly salted which was perfect. The pictures in this review don?t do justice comparedto how great the food is! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Trust me on this. This place is amazing! It is plainly shown as a favorite each time I get them by the long lines and consistent business they... always have. The workers/staff are all professional, helpful, and make the orders fresh for each customer in a timelymanner. The cost is slightly higher than your average fast food restaurant, but the flavor and delicious quality of the foodwill quickly have you forgetting the cost. Also the food is portioned well and is quite filling! 5 stars, excellent job! **Forthe neat and clean freaks out there, this establishment has always appeared well organized, clean, and sanitary in allaspects. Review Visit: March 14th, 2016 What do you think I ordered at Steak & Fries? If you guess some steak with a side of fries,... you?d be incorrect. What did I order on this sunny spring day? I honestly don?t remember. Between looking at my photos andlooking at the website/online menu, I can usually guess what I order. Not this time. Let?s take a journey as I try toremember. Based on the photo below, it appears that one of the things I ordered was a BLT but its on a hotdog bun. Yup, I amnot making that up. That?s exactly what it looks like. The other item I ordered was another BLT maybe with chicken instead ofbacon? A CLT also on a hotdog bun. Weird. I couldn?t even begin to guess what the other stuff on the menu would look like onceserved. Tacos on a hamburger bun? Pizza topped with ice cream? Who knows! The restaurant is located in CampusTown in Peoria.This area is full of eager college freshmen dodging traffic, the worst intersection in history and a ton of local restaurants.CampusTown specifically has a countless number of places to eat and Steak & Fries is one of them. The name is generic, the foodis served in non-traditional ways and the taste was? pretty good. That I do remember. My girlfriend and I were taken back by theunusual way food was presented and then we were taken back by how good it was despite the oddity of it all. You can see on theirwebsite that our unique experience isn?t so unique and is just who they are. If you know me, I am a fan of oddities. I?ve donesome strange stuff over my lifetime and tries even stranger things. Nothing illegal. Just going against the grain to try oldthings in new ways and new things in old ways. So, I have a small soft spot for this visit as it was definitely one to reflecton and laugh about. I?ve kind of gone off my normal trail with this post. You need to go back to the hand made fries like you used to do a year ago. I've been here twice in the last 2 months and the... fries suck compared to the old ones. Read more
