Literally just walked out of this place. We walked in to absolutely no employees in the restaurant, so we seated ourselves. We... finally saw an employee bring food out to the only other customers there, while very loudly talking on the phone. Made directeye contact with said employee, who then just turned around and walked away. Those customers that just got their food had to bethe ones to tell us we had to go to the front counter to order instead of, y'know, the person who works there and just totallyignored us. We go up there, that one employee is nowhere to be found. Waited around for quite some time until we just left. We came in around 2pm on a Saturday. We were completely ignored at the inside counter for awhile. After looking around in the... kitchen the floors were dirty, the grill and counters in the kitchen were nasty looking and littered with food and garbage. Wesaw a staff member come by and they had on a horribly stained white shirt and she looked like she hadn't showered in a week. Thestaff wasn't very friendly and acted like they didn't want to wait on us. They had a timer for the drive thru showing 19 minuteswait time. They were not busy busy and you could tell the staff was not wanting to work. They have super shortened their menuand don't have a lot of options like they used to. We decided it wasn't worth it and went to Dairy Queen next door. This placeneeds different or better management because there was no way I would let a business operate like that. Sat in the drive thru for 5 minutes with no response so circled back to try again. Nothing. I went in and was ignored at the... counter so I left. It wasn't even busy. Cooking area was rather dirty and disorderly. Ate at DQ next door instead much betterchoice. It's sad because s&s used to be pretty good but I see why two in the area have closed down. Read more
Steak n shake dine in finally opened. But not really. No wait staff ! Might as well been at McDonald's. Order at counter.... Wait for food to come up. Then go up and get it. Chilli was cold the fries were cold. Not even close to what I would normallyexpect eating in the dining area . This could be the end of my steak n shake dining. If this is the new normal then steak nshake is on its way to closing for good. Step it up !! Read more
Will never ever go here again. Stood there waiting to order for 15 minutes for food. Then when asked for condiments it was... thrown on our tray as was another person's. When I asked for a small box the fella threw it at me. When another woman asked forketchup he threw it on her tray. Then we had to sit and listen to the cook and others fight in the back. Read more
It was very different than the last time I went (pre-pandemic). The menu is much smaller, you order and pay at the counter and... they call your number like a fast food restaurant. They don't have the menu hung on the walls, they just have a single copy outon the counter. Read more
I typically only go through the drive-thru where every time I go there I am greeted by a friendly voice that promptly takes my... order. Then I get to the window to a smiling face that takes my money and within minutes I got a bag of deliciousness for anamazing price Read more
Hard to operate a business in the middle of a move. But the service was still good. Went for chicken strips for my... granddaughter. Unfortunately they where out, But she enjoyed a cheeseburger. Read more
