Heard very good things about their fried chicken. But it was a disappointment. The chicken was drenched in some powdery spice... mix, which was a tad bit bitter after a point. The chicken was cooked well. The tater tots were good. But the beer was verygood. The decor of the place was excellent. The service was good. Read more

Absolutely stellar food. I've been to Thyme twice and my orders both times were delicious. The rest of my group loved the food... as well. They have a spicy ketchup, especially, that seems to be quite a hit with their tater tots! It's a nice atmosphere inthe restaurant, but it tends to get fairly loud. So, it might not be the best place for an intimate get together. Woulddefinitely come back again! Read more

I've been here before a few times and always came back for the food and service. Unfortunately, this time wasn't a good... experience. I was seated and ordered a Pail of Ales flight and when Heather brought to my table, she asked if I was ready toorder and I said that I'd like a few more minutes. That few minutes turned into 15 minutes until she returned. I ordered theshrimp and grits which was brought out by another server as he had noticed it had been sitting in the kitchen awhile. Which ithad been as it was lukewarm at best. Undeterred, I was browsing their extensive bourbon menu for an after dinner drink whenHeather dropped off my check without asking if I'd like anything else. Figuring I would get the same level of service if I askedfor a drink, I paid my bill and had a seat at the bar. Unfortunately this same lack of customer service continued. I asked Benfor an old fashioned neat with Elijah Craig 18 yo ($30) which they didn't have, so I ordered a Jefferson's Ocean ($20) which hepoured straight up. I reminded him that I had ordered an old fashioned, he promptly used another customer's old fashioned glassthat he was making (with ice) and poured the Jeffersons over the ice. Again figuring things weren't going to get better if Iasked for the drink the way I ordered it, I contented myself by enjoying the Jefferson's and watching Sunday nightfootball. This is one of the few places that's open in Peoria on a Sunday night especially in the downtown area, so my choiceswere limited. My next trip to Peoria will probably see me going a across the river or driving to the west side in search of goodfood and good service. Read more

Was in town for a work trip and this was recommended by the very helpful front desk employee at the hotel where I was staying.... Let me just say… she did well! Thyme was a great place for a late dinner; barkeep was helpful with food recommendation andbeer menu. I really like their beer flight and pour options, everything from a flight/sample to a pint, and the appropriateglass for each style. I enjoyed the rustic yet modern sides, and the “lacquered” salmon was a bit salty but overall good, and cooked well. Overall a very enjoyable place. Read more

The only place open after a snow storm. And what an amazing stop. The food was delicious and the drinks were yummy! The... bartender was the sweetest. The selection they had for whiskey and bourbons were unreal. We had the tuna poke which was a verygenerous portion of tuna for around $20. And the shrimp and grits was also tasty for another $25. Can’t forget the appetizerPhilly cheese egg rolls! And of course we had try the whistle boss. Read more

Thyme Kitchen and Craft Beer is a neat place with a great atmosphere. The openness of the restaurant, decor, and cool vibe will... get your attention from the minute you enter the door. We had a group of four enjoy brunch on a Sunday around noon. We enjoyedtwo orders of the brussel sprouts appetizers - this is a must try! The brussel sprout leaves are very light and flavorful - thebalsamic glaze makes it delicious! I loved the lemon ricotta pancakes. There were two big pancakes with a blueberry reubarbcompote - the flavors went well together. Two of us enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches - they looked good. One of us had a saladand soup which he liked a lot. The restaurant is very clean, the food is very flavorful and fresh, our waitress was veryattentive, and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend trying this restaurant located downtown in the river district ofPeoria. I believe our waitress's name was Hope and she did a great job. It was nice that we got seated without waiting. Onething that you will notice is the bar area with the extensive selection of bourbons. The walls are decorated with weatheredbarn wood, deer heads, and interesting wood and succulent plants. We are definitely going back for dinner and drinks oneevening. We saw a few people sampling the beers and bloody marys - they all looked good. We were happy with the price point ofthe foods for the value - we all had plenty to eat with food to spare. The food had such great flavor - this place is a must -add it to your list! Read more

Great wait staff and food. We had the Cajun shrimp and grits, meatloaf sandwich, and chicken Marsala. All was great and the food... came out pretty fast. They have a great selection of craft brews on tap from around the area and a bit beyond. Check out thecool drawing out waiter did on the back of the check, sketched from my daughters book on our table! Read more

I loved the menu and I really liked how they tried to do different things and be creative. It was really close to being amazing.... The restaurant is really cool and I loved the decorations and feel of it. Our server was amazing. They have a lot of alcoholselections. The Nashville hot chicken was okay. The celery root was interesting but I really liked it. Our family really likesbrussel sprouts and we got the appetizer. It was interesting as it was flakes instead of the whole sprout. But it was delicious.I would try this place again. Read more
