I would like to support local businesses when ever I can, but one of the taco I had here was horrible. I got 3 tacos 1. Two Good... (4.5/) - which was really delicious. The crunch, the sauce everything was good. 2. Quesabirria (4/5) Nice flavor but a tad bitdry but good. 3. The Big Katuna (2/5) - This was recommended by an employee. The fish on this taco was spoiled. I could notfinish my bite. They should have checked before serving it to the customers. I also got the street corn, which was ok. The placewas decent and had a nice decor. But my Togo order took more than half hour for these 3 tacos. They really need to improve onthe food they serve. Read more

Worst experience of my life. The service was unspeakable. It took 40 minutes to even get chips and salsa to our table. I had to... ask three times for a napkin and it arrived after we were done eating chips & salsa. When the food came, we were left withoutsilverware. We asked for silverware and never got it. I ended up going up to the bar and asking the bartender for silverware. Wefinally started to eat and literally spit our food out. This place gives white people the reputation of not seasoning food.Chicken on fajitas should not taste like it was only seasoned with salt and pepper. The bell peppers weren’t sautéed. Myhusband is active duty military and literally eats the nastiest food when he’s deployed and couldn’t finish his meal either.I got up several times throughout our time there and not only couldn’t find our waitress, no workers were on the floor at all-they were in the kitchen (besides the bartender at the bar). When our waitress FINALLY came to our table, I asked for the checkand addressed our concerns. She did not issue an apology at all. She was wearing all black and had a long pony tail. Shewasn’t wearing a name tag (no workers were) and never introduced herself from the beginning so not sure her name. Thisrestaurant seemed to be run by a toddler. No organization, no memorization of what customers needed, and seemed focused onclosing when we got there at 6 pm. We paid full price for our meal when we literally had a bite. We ran out after paying anddrove to a restaurant 15 minutes away to eat a real meal. Our wedding anniversary and first date night without kids was a BUST. Read more

Decided to stop here for lunch since I was passing through Peoria. There was a long wait to even be greeted and seated. To the... point that a couple arrived 15 minutes before me and went next door instead. Cayenne had a nice decor and background music thatwasn't obnoxious. There's a nice variety of tacos to choose from. During my meal I found out that there were only 2 guys for theentire front of the restaurant (making drinks, taking orders, serving, cleaning tables) on a Saturday. I'm thankful for theservice, but hopefully it's a more responsive place on normal nights. Read more

Nice selection of out-of-the-norm tacos! The food was great! So was the street corn! I preferred the pulled pork tacos over the... brisket tacos, the brisket just didn’t quite do it for me. The service was decent. They weren’t too busy around 8:45 or sobut they brought us waters, came back and asked if we were ready to order. I guess at that point we could have ordered drinksoff the menu but the waiter didn’t take a drink and appetizer order first before asking what we were having, so we wentwithout drinks and just had water even though the drink menu looked good. Quick service, good food, great atmosphere. Overall agood experience and would return! Read more

The waitstaff was super nice and it only took 20 minutes to order, get our food, appetizer and drinks. The frozen margarita was... very watery - would not recommend, and the chips were tasteless and not anything special. We got 4 tacos: the Marci gras one(shrimp), the tso chicken one, the Mac n cheese one, and the BBQ pork one. My favorite was the BBQ. All the tacos are what Iwould describe as “watery” - very heavy on the sauces. The Mac n cheese one was so watery that it was a bit unpleasant intaco form. The shrimp one was fine, but our least favorite actually! The BBQ is so good; next time I’ll just two of those, skip the chips and marg, and I’d come again. Loved all the unique ideas for the tacos!! My partner and I visited in a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon and were able to sit in a window seat with fresh air blowing... through the open window. The atmosphere is nice: dark, good music played at a gentle volume, and plenty of space between tables. The service was prompt and friendly here as well. We started with the “Trifecta” appetizer, which is 3 dips: queso, salsa, and guacamole. I am vegetarian, so we were able to order the queso without chorizo. It was all good, but I wanted the guac to beslightly more flavorful! We then decided to share the “Pick 3” meal, ordering 2 tacos and the street corn side. I orderedthe Mac Daddy taco. The fried mac n cheese was mushy and not flavorful at all; the cream and peppers it was topped with werevery tasty, though. I would’ve ordered the Leaf Eater, but I ordered it the last time I was here and the barbecue sauce wasoverwhelming and really thick and sticky. My partner ordered the quesabirria, which was extremely cheesy and greasy. It somehowstill lacked flavor and was not as good as the last time she had it. The street corn side was served in a bowl and wasessentially a soup that I would not order again. All in all, our bellies were full, but there’s nothing we’d be excited tocome back and order. Grateful for the good seating, though! Read more
