Very disappointed. Not in the beer but the service. While we were told about the food truck and the kitchen was closed they told... us we could order pizza. It was not clear right away we had to order at the bar. We ordered two flights so we could taste allthat we wanted. The first flight was filled up as well as our order was numbered and we were told which order the flight was in.The second one had issues. Two of the glasses were only 2/3rds full and we were not told the order of the flight. The pizza wasgood. We were watching a baseball game on the big screen. Only one other couple was there then someone came in and sat at thebar. I heard a complaint about no music and without us being asked they shut off the game for the gentleman at the bar. Weordered a couple more beers and one of them came with two inches of foam on top. We had been anxious to try The Darkbird andmade a special trip that day. We tried it, mission accomplished. ???? Fantastic but small menu. 20 beers on tap. I personally tasted 14. Mostly local and craft. Very nice open layout indoors and... out. Very much about beer first food 2nd. But both are very good. And the service was fast, friendly, helpful. Honestlymagnificent. Would recommend to anyone in the area. Read more

We just got done eating here. They were super busy and still provided excellent service. The burger we had was so good! Fries... were awesome too! My husband had a Friendly Skies beer that was excellent as well. He was excited be able to take home a 4pack of one of his favorite beers- Rollin Quads. Highly recommend Darkbird! Read more

This is a cool place to hang on a warm spring/summer evening. Sitting on the patio or upper deck (as long as the wind is calm)... is serene. Great beer selection, good food, friendly staff. The live music we saw (father and son duo) was the perfect backdrop.Definitely worth a stop and much needed for the area. Read more

We loved the trendy architecture of simple clean lines, wide open space, ceiling height and huge windows allowing the sun to... brighten the establishment. Steps lead to an upstairs loft with more seating capacity. Bartenders were friendly, accommodatingand most helpful with our selection of drinks. Fast service. A nice variety of sandwiches and appetizers. We were impressed withthe youthful and cheery ambience. A big thank you to Mary for her warm and friendly hospitality. We'll definitely bereturning. The atmosphere was very lovely and they had a sweet older gentleman playing guitar and singing Johnny Cash. The food was served... promptly and tasted amazing! Definitely order some cheese curds ???? Read more

I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. My date and I walked into the restaurant to the sight of 3-4 bartenders talking amongst... themselves. The place was not even remotely busy, there was no excuse not to greet us. The staff seemed to be really into theirconversation. This made us feel unwelcomed and threw off the good vibes. Ignoring the aloof staff, I quickly moved my date to atable by the bar. After perusing the menu for some time I went up to the bar to place our order. For first timers it wasunclear that orders had to be placed at the bar. The wait and lack of communication was annoying, but the disappointment reallyset in when they told us that the "kitchen was closed" and that they were "out" of all specialty drinks. Our options were beer &beer. I know this is a brewery but I don't think it to be a ridiculous expectation to have the items advertised on your menu instock. I would have let it slide if they told us upon entering but again we were not greeted. Shortly after hearing this mydate and I decided to leave. There is a silver lining though, My date decided to give me another chance at a different locationso we will always have the Dark Bird story. A great dining experience is all about rhythm, the Dark Bird needs to find theirsto survive. I'll give this place a chance in the future in hopes they find their rhythm. That's my 2 pesos on the matter. Read more
