El Mexicano is a hidden secret in Perkins, Oklahoma! I had eaten here several years ago and remembered as being good Mexican... cuisine. We were greeted upon on entering the restaurant and shown to our seats right away. Our drink order was taken and wesettled into deciding what to order. Gratis tortillas, quest sauce, and table sauce were delicious. The salsa had good texturebetween being liquid enough with the right amount of tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. It did pack a good level of heat. The foodwas delicious. The wait staff was attentive. The decor was appropriate Mexican themed. When in in Perkins again, I will enjoyanother meal at El Mexicano! Very nice Mexican food and great service.
The restaurant was not full and our waitress seemed irritated the second we were seated at her table. We ordered iced tea for... our drinks she brought us what looked like just dirty water. See the picture. The waitress seemed even more irritated that Iasked for a new iced tea. The whole experience was just very bland. The only time she was okay was when we checked out. Read more

Very pleased with our first time there. The salsa we got with our chips is the best we've had since moving to Oklahoma. The... carnitas were great, and the Rellenos we're very good too. We'll definitely be going back. Read more
The service is great, unfortunately the place is too small for large groups. First of all, we had to wait to be seated and also... waited more than 20 minutes to get food. My husband and I both ordered two beef fajitas, his fajitas were good but mine werealmost burnt with a bitter taste. After complaining, the waitress brought me a much better one. One friend got the wrong ordertoo.The chips and salsa were good, but not the queso. I suggest don't come during the busy hours. Read more
Stellar! Always good! Just went on a VERY busy Friday night and service and food was amazing! Kudos for the great service on a... busy evening. I have tried a fairly large cross section of this menu and it has yet to disappoint. Make the drive from Guthriewhen I went good Mexican food. Keep it up! Read more
