Stopped in on our travels through Georgia. We were there late afternoon and they were not busy. Definitely cute, old house... turned into a nice restaurant feel. White linen tablecloths, with white linen napkins. We were very casually dressed, as we weretraveling and there seemed to be others dressed similar and others dressed nicely. Staff was friendly and efficient. Menu hadlots of Southern style options with average prices. We had the Fried Green tomatoes for an appetizer. They were tasty , servedwith honey mustard sauce. The sauce was ok, but I prefer ranch, Which was delicious. We tried the meatloaf with mashed potatoesand gravy. It was very filling and definitely had a grandma made feel to it, very good, gravy was excellent and the cabbage wasjust cabbage. We also tried the Southern Fried Sampler, it came with a piece of corn meal battered catfish which was amazing,breaded shrimp, also amazing & a salmon croquette (this I was not super fond of, a bit too fishy for me) the homemade Remouladewas delicious and the squash casserole was delicious, trust me it tasted so much better than it looked! This was a recommendation and it was a great one! The Swanson House is a beautiful historical home, turned restaurant. The... employees were all very kind and polite. The food was phenomenal! Everything came out hot and fresh. We had the Fried GreenTomatoes appetizer. Our entrees were the Chicken and Dumplings, Baked Chicken with Cornbread dressing, and the Rib tips in gravyover white rice. The sides were delicious also. The included dessert of either Peach Cobbler, or Ecclair Delight was the perfectending to the meal. This will definitely be a stop next time we are in the area of Perry, GA. Read more

Often you'll... overhear other patrons sharing that this is an intentional stop off the interstate traveling to or from Florida for theirworld-famous biscuits and fried green tomatoes. This 1800's home turned charming restaurant is nestled in downtown Perry on a quaint street. In true southern charm with white... tablecloths and decor to match with modern touches! The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is amazing! Specially drinksare refreshingly good. The tiny biscuits are yummy! Loved the ambience of this restaurant, the wait staff were busy but they made sure to address our needs and take care of us.... Everything we tried was truly amazing Southern flare and taste. The bread pudding is to die for. I will go back and check themout again. Read more
