Great food, excellent customer service, limited menu that I'm sure rotates, high class dining with the need to be overly... dressed. Food took a little while but they were packed. I was on business so it was nice to get a relaxing first class diningexperience. If I remembered the servers name I would recommend, very good explaining menu items and recommending drinks anddesert. We have been in Perrysburg for a while and this is the first time we visit this place. It?s probably the worst restaurant I... have been to for a long time. The mussels we ordered were terrible (see picture)! For a high end restaurant, it?s sad to seethey don?t even use fresh ingredients. We love to support local business, but this is way too sad. I hate to give anyone a bad review, especially in light of the economic circumstances and the past couple of years. I really... wanted to love this place, but I?ve had essentially the same entrees done better elsewhere for much cheaper. The pricing seemsway out of line considering the portion sizes. I ordered the filet which was approximately $12 dollars more expensive thantheir menu posted online. I asked for it pink, and while the center of it was tasty, the ends were brown and extremely dry. Itcomes with potatoes, green beans, and soup or salad. If I had to estimate, the dishes were plated prettily, but I think I hadliterally eight green beans. The portion of potatoes was also comical, maybe four bites. The salad is similar to the organicboxed mix I buy at the grocery store with some halved grape tomatoes and cucumbers. My boyfriend?s chicken dish was also priceadjusted, $36 or so for a tiny plate of chicken and potatoes, plus a small basic salad is truly outrageous. Unfortunately, the 6oz chicken breast was also very dry, shockingly dry even. The caesar salad left much to be desired as it had barely any dressingon it. I just don?t get it. I would love to say this is an outstanding small business with a really elegant atmosphere andexceptionally flavored food making the cost worth it, but that was not our experience. We were placed in between couples a footor so away on either side so close that each other?s conversations were distracting. My boyfriend and I paid the $115 bill plustip and said never again. We felt as though we were taken advantage of. The chef did go around to the table, but considering howclosely seated everyone is, it really felt inappropriate to complain about our food while other customers said ?oh, it wasgreat?. I am just wondering if they have never had great steaks elsewhere. Had our favorite steakhouse not been fully booked, wewould have gone there instead. Read more
Small and intimate setting. Fresh ingredients with tons of flavor! Cheese platter had great variety. Salad dressing was creamy... and delicious. Scallops were cooked perfectly and tender. The sauce was delicate and divine! Forbidden rice added a uniquetexture. We will be back to try more of the creations. Read more
The no rush attitude was a huge plus! It made for a wonderful evening for our family. The staff was kind and courteous. The food... was fantastic, especially the scallops! All in all it was a fantastic evening at Rose & Thistle and I look forward to my nextvisit. Read more
