Really cute and cozy restaurant on the river! We had the buffalo poutine and the portobello stack which were delicious (and I?m... usually not a fan of port burgers) Service from April was impeccable; I do think the Caesar can use some improvement / flarebut the Perth Brew was on point ???? A lovely spot. Good food, excellent and efficient service. Drinks were perfect! The only glitch was being charged $.75 for a... side of mayonnaise for the fries. Surely mayo could/should be considered a condiment! I was tempted with the salmon but at $25it seemed a little steep (about $10 more than the fish and chips). They had a live band which were quite good but a little loudwhen seated at an enclosed area. They were better once we moved to the outdoor patio area. Great place for dinner if you?re in the area, really handy for Boaters you can see your boat from the front deck. Be sure to go... early or make a reservation on the weekend otherwise you may be faced with a very long wait. Food is good bar food reasonablypriced for the serving size, staff is attentive. A very pleasant stop off Rideau Ferry Road which I have been meaning to make for a few years now. The shrimp seafood tacos and... fish & chips were spot on. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and attentive to our needs. I look forward to stopping inagain soon and highly recommend CC's to anyone passing through Rideau Ferry looking for a refreshing break from a long drive. Read more
Ordered takeout through the website. The website is easy to use, but has some usability issues, and was a little... frustrating. I payed a 20% tip in advance, as prompted by the site because food service people work hard, and I trust that, forthe prices they demand, they will double check a takeout order before it goes out the door. I had a classic burger and Caesarsalad. The salad had no dressing, and there was a raw asparagus heel under the burger patty. The patty was dry and broken into 2pieces. No condiments came with it, nor was I asked if I wanted any, so I didn't think to ask. Also, there is not a place on thewebsite to request any, and the description does not say that it comes without. I will say that the rest of the food that wasordered was fair and correct. Unfortunately, I had arrived by boat, and was long gone when I checked my order, so there'sreally nothing I could do about it, other than eat a dry burger with a side of dry lettuce that I payed $20 plus a 20% tipfor. The restaurant was not busy at all, so I'm not sure why they couldn't take a minute to make sure that they got my ordercorrect. Overall, quite disappointed in the order, especially in light of the premium prices. It's convenient for boaters,though, just be sure to double check your order. What is better than good food at a fantastic location? Good pub food and drinks combined with a large outdoor BBQ for chicken,... ribs and burgers. Due to Covid, you order and pay for your food first while you select your table. Outdoor options availableincluding on the patio or step down to the open tented area on the lawn with picnic tables closer to the river. The food isready once your name is called and then you can enjoy your meal while taking in the view of the passing boats. Tonight, livemusic was also provided after 6pm but check their website or Facebook page to find out when it's available. Riverside locationis great, about 15 km from either Perth or Smith's Falls.
