The Hotel & Casino were great. Stayed for the weekend, the Hotel had great friendly service, rooms were nice & clean. Thank you,... we live 5 hours away but with the drive, we'll be back. The casino had plenty of security & workers at the casino. The bathroomswere always super clean, drinks are a little pricey but they usually are at any casino. $8.50 for a hot chocolate with a shotof peppermint schnapps, it was really good but couldn't justify paying that for more than one. The casino is always clean &everyone is very friendly & helpful. Unfortunately I didn't win any money but I did see lots of other people winning. So that'sa plus! Very outdated with hardly any amenities (stayed in deluxe king room). Clean room and friendly reception staff. Small but fun... casino. This is the end of our positive experience?woke up at 5:15am to a MOUSE on my nightstand. We left at 6am. The managertold us that since we booked with a third party site (Expedia) the best he could do is ?20% off our next stay.? I understandthat a mouse could be present in ANY establishment, so I don?t fault the hotel for that (even though it?s likely due to theextremely dated building). However, I do fault poor customer service! Our trip was cut extremely short because no businessesopen before 8am in Sutton?s Bay/surrounding area. Do yourself a favor and pay a bit more money to stay somewhere MUCH nicerwhere they prioritize the satisfaction of their paying customers!! Read more

Front desk woman was rude to us and everyone checking in around us. We have stayed a few times and never pleased to deal with... her. The rooms aren't bad, no conditioner is provided so don't forget that. Casino is nice for smaller place. Read more

Location is nice. Easy trip to wineries and a fun little casino. Lodge is very dated and rundown for the price. No... refrigerator or irons available in the room. Our screen door would either not open or fall off the hinges when you tried to useit. Read more

On a vacation for a wedding and came upon this lodge via internet. Very clean, comfortable and quiet...the views are charming... as well. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Especially the front desk team, Lori checked us in when we arrived late.After a long day of traveling with a 2 year old, we where happy to lay our heads down here. We had two hotels reserved due toavailability at the time. I asked Melissa if anything came available for an additional three nights. So we didn?t have to changehotels and she worked her magic! Also called the sister hotel to cancel there. There?s 24 hour coffee in the lobby and thenon-smoking casino just steps away is an added bonus! My husband and I took turns to play at the casino while the other took ourson to play around the grassy area of the lodge that has this huge Adirondack chair! He loves it! I really, really, REALLY enjoyed this casino. It?s a nice smaller size it?s very clean, and the machines let you win a little... bit too! The bingo hall is pretty big, LOTS of slots. I think they?re nearly all digital. Free soda and coffee. We didn?t eatat the diner ?Big Dex?. I waited so long for hubbs that I was just getting into line for pizza when he found me. We go to quitea few different casinos and this dining counter had a really good of selection of food that is actually prepared and NOT wrappedin Saran wrap. Every employee I encountered was incredibly friendly, smiled. Very refreshing because we don?t always get that atother casino?s. Lastly, this is just a bonus because they don?t have any control over this, the drive is absolutelybreathtaking! The drive is just a touch longer for us than Manistee, but I think we will be splitting our time between the two!! Read more

Although this is probably a fantastic weekend getaway spot with a casino, it's definitely not the place I'd go specifically to... go to a casino at. Much smaller and more sedate than it's sister property Turtle Creek. Nothing bad to say about it inparticular, just that the casino seems secondary to the hotel, restaurants, and nearby activities.
