Very unique twist on dishes. The warm salad was delicious as was the special, trout with a beer lime sauce. We had a few dishes... and all were very tasty. Pleasant staff, nice atmosphere. Read more
Service was extremely slow despite the restaurant being very quiet. There was little choice on the menu but there were some... specials. My meal (duck) was not good. Meat was chewey and risotto tasteless. I thought quite expensive compared to otherfine dining restaurants. Read more
We have mixed feelings about this place. My husband took me there for my birthday and I love everything. He got upset though... about the big crack/ chip on the dish they served the food on. When he mentioned it to the owner/manager she stated she knewabout it. So my husband was wondering why they simply did not transfer food to the good dish if they knew? Can't say enough good about Amandalas. Every table has real flowers. Started with three cheese and onion dip with naan bread.... Bread was super soft and dip was hot and full of flavor. Had the filet, cooked perfectly and off menu shrimp/scallop pasta dishwhich was unbelievable. Dessert was chefs special, came flaming and very tasty. Love their cocktails too. Will be back verysoon. We went to Amandala' for our 26th anniversary. We are from Mississauga but were staying at a cottage a half a hour away and we... found the place through Google. We were very happy that we picked it for our special day. Everyone was very friendly,informative and their suggestions were spot on. During these difficult times of covid they practiced all the safe measures. The atmosphere was quite, intimate and relaxed. The food was great. The only thing missing was the carrot cake for dessert. They said that they would be happy to make sure it was available for our next visit. I am a fan of carrot cake and they had ravereviews for theirs which I found out was made local.
