Went for dinner this past Friday and had a cozy spot by the window. The food was freshly prepared and good portions (my... boyfriend wanted more of the lobster ravoli) and I had the shrimp penne. I came here in the summer time, they had live music which set a very pleasant and authentic mood. The potato’s were cooked to... perfection as well as the steak! AMAZING. While bar hopping in Peterborough, I had 3 separate people recommend Bar Vita and I'm so happy I listened!!! It did not... disappoint!!!! Our server (Shelby) was/is fantastic, personable, knowledgeable and hella good at her job! The food wasfantastic, I'm a blue steak kinda gal and they nailed it! Melt in your mouth. Atmosphere was lovely, dim lights but not so dimyou're going to walk into someone's table/date while heading to the bathroom. Will definitely be back!!! Highly recommend. Second time going in for a celebratory dinner and we were not disappointed. The food is phenomenal, the service is great, Marty... is an attentive owner, and the vibe is unbeatable in Peterborough. What a great atmosphere! I had the Seafood Gorgonzola pasta and it was phenomenal. I took home their peach bruschetta and even... a couple days later was out of this world! Totally would go back. One negative was it was 1000 degrees in there and the airconditioner wasn’t on that we could tell (we were close to it) and was horribly uncomfortable for most of the group we werewith. My favourite Italian spot in town! My husband and I have come here many times, I have also attended staff parties here. The food... is always to die for! The restaurant is clean and the staff are welcoming. The desserts are the best! We have gone to expensiveItalian restaurants in Toronto and they aren’t as good as bar vita. Read more
Love this little spot! The feel inside is sleek, quaint, and romantic. The food was to die for. The owner (presumably) chatted... with us, which I love, and let us know that none of their food is frozen. Each dish is made fresh individually. My friend gotthe gnocchi and it was honestly like butter melting in your mouth. I had the chicken carbonara and it brought me back to myhoneymoon in Italy. Generous portions, we both had some to bring home. Definitely will return again and again! Read more
Bar vita was a pleasant surprise! The cocktails are great and the ambiance in the establishment is wonderful. There was live... music on that evening which enhanced the already charming atmosphere. The complimentary bread and butter was fresh and got usready for our appetizer garlic cheese bread! The backed lobster Mac and cheese and the Linguine & Meatballs were great has ourmains!
