Someone call Kitchen Nightmares. Their food is NOT authentic, NOT enjoyable and barely edible. If a restaurant can not prepare... decent food, what’s the point? Their bruschetta (pictured below) for instance, came out warm, soggy and looking like a pizza.Bruschetta is supposed to be sliced baguette, toasted and topped with a tomato mixture. Not a pizza…. I’m not even Italian,yet I know that this Italian “restaurant” should not be serving food like this. Their spaghetti is drowned in Parmesan andlacks flavour and complexity. Their recipes need work. I have never been so disappointed by Italian food in my life. How do youscrew up Italian food? Best thing on the menu was Cesar salad. Their cocktails are very basic, and hard to drink. Service wasgood, their bottled water was good. I saw other tables complaining about the food. Is this really what peterborough has tooffer? Again I’m just so disappointed, can’t let things like this slide. They are charging Toronto prices for laughablequality. Come on. Read more

We finally tried out Capra Toro Italian Restaurant on Hunter St and we are definitely going back there soon! Drinks were... exquisite, we had the Limoncello Sprits and Martini with some delicious in house bread with a tomato based dipping sauce..YUM!!Last we shared the Pizza Margherita and Pasta Marinara and they were awesom We were too full to eat another bite but we tookhome a Tiramisu that I can't wait to try. What a great experience! Started a little slow, but the server made for it with some free foccacia. Then we ordered way too much... food, portions were large. Best wood fired oven pizza, hands down. The crust was exactly how this guy likes it, chewy in theinside and covered is chruchy bubbles. Toppings were all delicious and fresh. Fresh home made pasta was top notch. Will returnmany times. We showed up on a whim without reservations. We were quickly accommodated and sat down. The waitress was friendly and the owner... was also very engaging and mingling with the customers. We started with a Ceasar salad which was the best my wife and I haveever had. Followed by the best most authentic pizza we've ever had. The wine was also amazing. All in all, my wife and I had anamazing experience. This is our new favorite Italian restaurant. We'll be back. Thank you! Read more
Very picky when dining out especially when it comes to Italian food. Don't mind paying for great food and service but hard to... find. . What a pleasant night out to dine at a restaurant where the food is freshly made on site at a very reasonable price.Service and attitude of staff was excellent and food is top notch.
