Good food. Server mixed up our order multiple times, but that was fine.
Visited tonight and have to say this - Swiss Chalet should pride itself on serving a quality meal that they do really... well. Tonight we tried the alternate seasoned fries and as a warning, do not be tempted to try them. Awful. Not worthy of beingon the menu. Server was great but told us no complaints about these seasoned fries yet. One plate was barely seasoned, theother absolutely drowned. Chicken was amazing as usual. Three stars may seem harsh, but fries are a fundamental part of themenu and something that are normally excellent. Restaurant gets recommended - seasoned fries do not. Read more
Our family ate at this location at lunchtime today (August 21) Unfortunately the service was terrible. We waited over an hour to... get our meal. I understand that sometimes things happen, but it would have helped if a manger had come out, explained why thedelay and apologized instead of hiding in the back and letting the servers take the complaints. Food was fine. Epic fail on the chalet valet. I preordered because I had my dog in the car when I got there for pickup I waited... another 30 minutes finally went in and the food was sitting there cold. I get that staffing is short which was why I patientlywaited but don?t advertise a service you can?t support. Read more
Towerhill location, we haven?t ordered/eaten here in 2 years. Decided to order online to save time.. not. The restaurant was... busy, I?ve worked in the restaurant industry for many years so I understand why there was a longer wait time than usual however,there were multiple customers in the pickup/takeout side of the building who had the same issue & were getting upset at the factthat ordering online was supposed to save wait time. Upon entering, I personally had waited 15 minutes for anyone to evenacknowledge that I was there. Even so, my order had been placed at 6:15 and it was 6:50 when we arrived to pick it up. Afterwaiting the extra 15 minutes to be seen, our order was still not ready. We ordered 5 meals, paying $100 and got ridiculouslysmall portions. When I say small, I counted 20 romaine pieces in my side caesar salad. I get it, inflation is happening soprices have gone up but seriously Swiss Chalet? 1 meal wasn?t even enough for a toddler. Unfortunately we have decided that wewill not to return to Swiss Chalet and we WILL be passing this information along to our friends/family. Great service, yummy food, big portions. Although in the past when I've asked for extra fries in place of the roll/bun with the... quarter chicken meal, they've done it no problem but today they said they couldn't which is kinda lame. It would only be like 10or 15 extra fries. I was also sad to see how tiny the menu is now and that the 1/3 rack of ribs is gone. That used to be myfavourite thing to order as half rack is too big for me and pretty pricey. Food was ready quickly though and it wasn't busy atall at noon on a Saturday. Server was also great about checking ingredients for dietary needs. Definitely prefer this locationover the Lansdowne Street location. Quality and taste of food is better, atmosphere is newer and nicer, and the service isprompt, friendly, and helpful. Read more
We have been sitting here for 45 minutes without food arriving. We were served our drinks and that was it. I am sure it is not... the wait staffs issue. This is poor service and will not come back here. Getting ready to leave! Read more
