First time here. Food is excellent! Nice soul food buffet and great fried fish! The fruit was fresh and couldn't get enough... of the sweet and delicious pineapple. Nice atmosphere and wait staff. Overall wonderful dining experience. Would go again. Read more
The food was Amazing! Best yams I've ever had. I got them as the side to my Philly cheese steak sandwich. Super tender meat,... peppers and onions cooked to just the right texture. Had a bite of the pulled pork and one of the best flavors for thatsandwich. Highly recommend! Read more

Oh! My! God!!! I’d been wanting to go here for a while and I finally made it in today and I was not disappointed! I was really... hungry so I was on the see-food diet. Got the dinner size chicken and waffles plus the veggie plate with mac n cheese, yams andgreens. My companion got the lunch size chicken and waffles plus the veggie plate with potato salad instead of mac n cheese. Wetasted each other’s and wanted our own so we both ended up with 4 sides each. Super yum! Everything was very well seasoned andso tasty! I can’t wait to eat here again. We were on a road trip and decided to stop by here for dinner. Do you ever dance around in your chair when your food is so good... you gotta move? Me too! The beautiful souls at Shut Yo Mouf restaurant can definitely throw down in the kitchen! I had thefried whiting fish dinner with greens, mac and cheese and cornbread. SLAPS! The fish was perfectly seasoned, crispy on theoutside, flaky and tender on the inside. Greens were tender and seasoned with meat, check. Mac and cheese was the best I’vehad in a long time. If you’re ever in Petersburg VA. do yourself a flavor and get some. Read more
