Went at 5:30pm on a Thursday in March. Very quiet when we arrived. Quiet as in- not many customers, no ambient music, no TVs.... Ordered a flight and a pint, a Sweet & Spicy pizza, breadsticks, and a hot dog kids meal. Breadsticks and pizza were excellent.Kids meal was as expected. Beer was okay, too sweet, almost like it didn't fully ferment. This is a brewery where the food isbetter than the beer. Workers were friendly. Great views of the bay. Read more
We love Beards Brewing and try to go every time we?re in town. They have a great variety of beer and surprisingly awesome food... for a brewery! The whole building is really cool and has a very comfortable, welcoming feel to it. It has been too cold to eatoutside both times we?ve been here, yet we love that we could eat outside if the weather were more hospitable. One thing tonote: the food app is a little tricky (at least it was for me). When you order a pizza, it comes with a mouth-watering 14? crustyet it doesn?t tell you that anywhere. I clicked on the only crust option there was thinking I had to and ended up getting a 10?gluten free crust, instead. I really enjoyed it yet my husband complained the whole time since he had been eyeing all the other,beautiful 14? pizza crusts since we walked in haha. So don?t pick a crust option in the app unless you want gluten free. ???? Read more
Upon entry you enter their unique gift shop with the coolest selection of ceramic mugs. Dining area presented a great atmosphere... with large windows and even with most of the tables full, it was not too loud. They feature a nice selection of in-house brewedbeer and ciders. Fun selection of specialty sodas for the kids. The root beer was yummy. We split the Hemingway sandwich and hadtwo orders of the Sausage Dip. So delicious! Visiting from the U.P., but will return here when we come back to Petoskey. Read more
Beards Brewery was a great place to have a drink and dinner. They have a wide variety of in house brewed beer and cider. Their... food menu is very good as well. I HIGHLY recommend the sausage dip, we got 2 of those while we were there! The service was topnotch and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. The Pizza shines and the beer is great service that exists is friendly, but not much. With their online ordering system it is... very difficult to get what you want and you're locked into choices for instance we request our pizza with extra extra sauce andwell done and didn't get either. They don't serve wine which was disappointing and their kids meals are definitely not worththe price a $6 Kraft macaroni and cheese serving is a bit pricey. If you want pizza it's a great option with beer, but we won'tbe going back simply because we like to have service a waitress or waiter and our orders taken correctly. Read more
Love the Root Cellar, brings back memories of the old Beards location on Howard Street. Cute and cozy. Beer is solid, staff is... always so friendly and knowledgeable?. A great place to have a beer (or two) and catch up with old friends. One of my favoriteplaces! Read more
